the duration numbers may be a little high but the crowler cams use a 112 lobe seperation which is what a low compression street 318 needs more vac and better idle I vote the crowler cam and swirl heads

what size valve are in your j heads? the 1.88 would work better but with stock pistons they are too far in the hole to get the compression up to be able to use the cam you have if you change the pistons to some zero deck you would be able to maybe use that cam and the j heads if you milled them...

It's all in the carb you can get a cam way bigger than that to go cold but you have to have a choke and it has to be elec or it will not get enough fuel or if its mech choke it wont be possible to drive cold because you have to vary the amount of choke plate opening as the engine temp increases...
