Decade Dart - father son '70 Dart 340 4 speed project

I think it looks great. I agree about the bias plys, I had them on my Hemi Coronet R/T and it was scarey to drive.

    1970 Challenger R/T convertible restoration

Been working my butt off on the Challenger and it's almost finished. I have been detailing everything over the top and the car really looks great. I did have one argument with the owner, the 440 was missing and to save money and time he decided to install a magnum small block. Here are some...

    1970 Challenger R/T convertible restoration

That wouldn't be brave, that would be crazy! The orange rails bolted to the rockers are part of the Dataliner frame bench. The car was measured and measured again and then the doors were fit...only then the frame was welded. 30 years of working in body/restoration shops teaches you how to do...

    1970 Challenger R/T convertible restoration

More progress on the Challenger. All the welding is finished on the rear and front frame rails, floor pans and floor supports, trunk floor, aprons and so on...finally the shell is one solid structure again. The bottom has been undercoated and it's time for me to do my favorite part, paint...

    Engine compartment paint color?

Just my .02 but I would be against it. The orange engine will pop if you detail right with cast iron, satin black, glass black and aluninum appointments. Correct decals, wireing routing, hose routing and the like will make any engine compartment look great, weather it is stock or modified.

    1970 Dart

I dig that car...it looks great in black.

Birth of a 1970 Dart Convertible

Of course the choice is yours. My point and my thought was, you haven't scrimpt on any part of the car yet, you wanted when needed until you could find/afford the parts you needed to make the car how you wanted...right? I just thought you would do the same now and keep with your initial plan...

Birth of a 1970 Dart Convertible

I'm happy to see you posting on this thread again. Hopefully you can get the parts you need and finish up the car. Personally I would try to find a 340 instead of a magnum, but that is your call.
