    Dash Speakers

Maybe someone else might want to do the same so I will post up what I did for dash speakers. I fabricated a bracket to hold two 4 inch speakers in the center of dash where original single speaker was. I had some 16 gauge aluminum sheet laying around bend a lip around outer edges to add...

Here is how mine look. No carpet car in process of being put together. But you can see how its suppose to lay all the way down on floor.

Unbolt seat, lift seat up, shove seat belt down on floor, bolt seat down.

69 Dart retractable seat belt location issue!

I would think it should be laying on the floor tucked down between seat track and inner rocker. Then you pull the belt out to buckle up but retractable part stays laying against the floor. Thats how it is on my '69 Barracuda with bucket seats its the same retractable seat belt as in the...

    Console mounting.

The front screw on the rear bracket is offset toward the passenger's side and hole inside the console is offset accordingly. Thats how it was on my '69. This really tripped me up when I went to weld rear bracket to the new floor pan. Why would they make that front screw offset like that I...

How to remove sliding heater and air conditioner controls.

On my '69 the square chrome knobs on the sliders have an allen screw on bottom. Don't know if '73 is the same but try looking on the underside for an allen screw.

Anybody receive seat covers from Legendary or Classic Industries lately?

I just ordered door panels, carpet, floor mats from Legendary. Their web site had wat times listed for all of those items. Like it said 30 days wait for carpet, 35 days wait for floor mats, 90 days wait for door panels or something along those lines. I am not expecting that stuff to come any...

    Dash paint

Around 25 years ago I had a restoration guru paint my dash frame. I gave the guy the Ditzler paint code out of the '69 Factory Service Manual. He had a local paint supplier convert the Ditzler number to PPG and mix it up. My dash came back matching my steering column which still had the...

    1970 Rally dash

Original owner of my car was a smoker. And my dash bezel had rings melted in it from him missing the hole. He smoked a cigarette in the car when I test drove it before I bought it. He opened the vent window and let the smoke go out while I drove the car. 1979 back when ppl were allowed to...

    69 Barracuda dash bezel options

I thought Deluxe Interior got you the door panels, set covers, and carpet on sides in the rear? I thought wood grain steering wheel and wood grain dash were some other add on? Then pedal bezels not sure about those? Just like Formula S didn't get you the 150 speedo that was an extra cost...

    69 Barracuda dash bezel options

Original owner of mine he special ordered the car and went down the option list and selected everything except PS and PB. I asked him why not 4 speed and he said insurance would have been double the cost so he went with automatic.

    69 Barracuda dash bezel options

Never thought about black centers with black bottom interesting point. Chrysler knew buyers wouldn't know or care so if some '68 bezels were laying around use them up save some money.

    69 Barracuda dash bezel options

I bought my car from original owner back in 1979 with 49,000 miles on it and it was all original. The dash bezel in my car when I bought it had the '68 style burlap wood grain and the silver centers on the gauges and silver on the bottom. So the dash bezel that was in my car when I bought it...

    69 Barracuda dash bezel options

As far as silver vs black on the bottom I am guessing the late '69s got black on the bottom because the '70 340 Darts and Dusters I believe those were always black on the bottom. 25 or so years back I bought a good used bezel and sent it out for professional chrome and paint. Back then...

    In-dash tachometers

When I bought mine from the original owner back in 1979 this is the tach that was in it and still in it. Fender tag has tach on it so confident this is original to this car. Dash bezel is not original to the car since I had to undue the cut for KMart radio mistake made decades ago:
