My vin on my 71 Duster 340..Before the VIN number is 1B452494. I am assuming "1" is for 1971, does anyone know what the "B" stands for?

Has anyone replaced their 8 3/4 rear end fluid and if so how did you do it and what fluid is recommended? Thank you.

Is it acceptable to use a compression fitting in a transmission line, or is double flare the only way to go? Thank You.

There is a block with a bolt, on a shaft from the transmission that is the adjustment.

This was a running change believed to be sometime in May/June 1971 where the 340 went from orange to blue. My Duster has a build date of July 9th and has the blue colored engine, along with 1972 trunk lid with rib in the center and 1972 bumpers with jack slots, as well as black painted steel...

Thanks, I'll give them a try!, do you know the part number, I'm sure the dealer by me will look at me like I have two heads since it's an older part.

I need the plastic white bushing that goes on the the shift linkage (column shift to where it attaches to tranny). I bought what I thought was the right ones but they are way too big. Does anyone know where to find these?

Could anyone please post a picture of the transmission linkage for a column shifted automatic (727 torqueflite) on an A body. Preferrably as it sits in the engine compartment

Sounds drivertain?...Maybe motor or tranny mounts..?
