I use the msd streetfire box, cheaper than the 6-series. Used the chrome box before, idle is more stable now, i also wanted the rev limiter and this box has it. Michael

thanks for your comment. You like this one better? Everything´s possible, but i think i´ll keep it plain with a sticker or sth. I used the connectors due to the cheap module, if it fails i can put another one in easily without soldering and away from home. Michael

finished mine today.....we´ll see how it works, if the rain stops i´m able to check it next week. This one is a cheapo module, around 20 bucks. If everythings ok then i´ll try to make another one with the msd-module, always wanted a rev limiter feature....:glasses7: Michael

hmmm, i have the chain tensioner on my engine, there should not be much slack there. Only thing i can imagine is that the intermediate shaft will climb up the cam gear and cause this.....i have another distributor and will check with this one. @Tony: that would be great....but i doubt that´s...

Don, thanks for the feedback. Ok, so i think the "fbo box" the swiss distributor sold to me in 2011 is a high priced parts store piece......the so called "FBO" coil he supplied also went south in 2012 after 3 month light duty use. You´d like to see the box to check if it´s one of yours...

Hi Peter, i´m sure with this msd ignition you have to delete the ballast resistor - did you? Maybe that´s the cause for weak spark - low voltage due to the resistor. Make sure everythings grounded good. Don´t know the wiring details, the manual should tell clearly. Regarding TDC: same with...

Hi Tof, this port must be hooked up to a port at the carb that does not always show full engine vacuum. Sometimes it´s called "timed vacuum", take a look into your carbs manual if you have. The port you are showing is for cooling water only, has got nothing to do with ignition timing. But...
