    Full Repaint Question

I agree with all the posts advising you to go to Maaco, or similar. BUT, be aware that every little ding will really show up with the fresh paint, so don't leave any dings/dents thinking they won't be noticed, because they definitely will be. Like a beautiful woman with a big zit in the middle...

    PPG or Omni Experience?

Totally agree with using BASF R-M for base coat. Good stuff. I am a big fan of SPI clears. Here is an SPI blog on Omni vs PPG (both are in the PPG line of paints). http://www.spiuserforum.com/index.php?threads/ppg-vs-omni-quality.2946/s

    trim restore heads up

I have been very satisfied with Stephan Young's work. He supplies hard to find bezel and grille parts, for a reasonable price. I had one case where I was not happy with a bezel he sent me, and he agreed to find a better one as soon as he could and exchange it. Had to wait a few weeks, but the...

    trim restore heads up

I am almost certain Partsmonsta sells trim restored by Stephan Young. I have bought from both over the years, and the restorations look identical, and the technique is uniquely recognizable, and they are both in Florida. The dots connect.

    trim restore heads up

I believe partsmonsta and Young are the same parts. You can tell because the silver paint is unique. That said, I have been happy with the grilles and bezels coolparts2go sold me on ebay.

    Dtm primer question.

Agree. We have had great results with SPI. Their tech info on the epoxy primer says you can only use Ospho as a rust treatment, if you need one, and we have done that with good results. We will continue sanding to bare metal, then Ospho, then SPI epoxy primer...

    Custom engine compartment pics????

Beautiful job, younggun2.0! I have a few questions: 1) Is the "conduit" you made aluminum tubing, or is it something else? 2) Do you have pictures of how you arranged the interior electrics? Who makes the high voltage firewall feed-through for the coil wire? 3) I like the look of the radiator...

    Custom engine compartment pics????

I really like what you have done so far, and what you are trying to do in general. The only bars to frame rails I've seen are the bars that extend forward from roll cages. Is that what you have in mind? Don't know if they are still available, but XV Motorsports used to sell bars that went...
