Check bolt pattern on wheels, I believe all 8-3/4 had small pattern. Also, right rear may have left hand threads.

The slant 6 and V8 have different bolt patterns.

The linkage that goes to the transmission needs to be shortened. The slotted rod needs to be screwed clockwise two or three turns. That will decrease the throttle pressure and make it shift sooner.

Sounds like the sprag bearing/one way clutch has gone out Time for an overhaul/rebuild job.

Are you sure that the torque converter is properly installed in the transmission front pump?

A u-joint is available through most auto parts stores that is large on one side of the cross and small on the other. I had one on my 1970 Dart and I think it was a TRW brand......that was 25 years ago.

If TV/kickdown rod not proberly adjusted you may be getting overlap on the 1to 2 upshift na d by the same token your off throtte dowshift may be very harsh znc slap back to first gear:supz:tp

The weights are located on the flat face of the converter, around the other circumference. generally approximate 1/2" wide by 1-1-1/2" long and maybe a 1/4" thick.
