There was no float baffle in the carb. Points have been replaced with a Pertronix set up. It's not flooding. Starts right up when I bump the key.

Poly 318 with Carter BBD 2bbl in a '67 Fury. Car was running smoothly until a week ago. Ran fine at part throttle and cruise, but would idle really rough at a stop light. Took the carb apart, found some sediment in the fuel bowl, so I cleaned everything with carb cleaner and blew everything out...

I used the thick insulator gasket that was in the kit and it pulls strong vacuum from the pcv port now! So, was the gasket I had on there before for a non-pcv set up? I'll check those mixture screws. Thank you.

You can see where it is blocked off by the carb flange on the intake.

I noticed a lot of carbon build up in the vacuum port of the carb where the pcv hose hooks up. The carbon was inside the port at the base of the carb. I had the split style gasket on there before. (The one at the top of the first photo.) It looks like that gasket seals the pcv port to the intake...

Just put a new fuel sending unit, gasket, and lock ring on my 67 Fury, and it leaks terribly at the lock ring. The ring is on as tight as it will go, and there is play in the sending unit when I grab the outlet tube and wiggle it. The gasket is sitting flush in its recess with no kinks or...
