    There is another bolt in the adjustment plate that screws into the distributor that allows for more travel. Mine loved anything from 10-15ish BTDC

    super six intake and 318 carb

    Those holes are used in 318's because they need more air at idle. You should be ok if you plug them. If you want a real noticeable gain in performance now that you have a 2BBl open the exhaust up and see how much better it runs.

    Trying to Gauge Interest In Some Parts

    I would love to see a somewhat available turbo manifold either a flange to bolt to the factory manifold or a custom manifold. I can't weld so it makes it difficult for me to get one.

    Ran a 70's 318 BBD on my slanty ran fine till I clogged it up with rust lol running on a 85 fifth avenue 318 carb now.

    I am just saying a 390 and headers will run better and should get better mileage than a 1bbl and stock exhaust. When I do the calculations for a 225 CI engine at say 5000 rpm they will use effectively about 275/6 cfm so it would be over carbed by about 115 cfm which isnt enough to make that big...

    A 4bbl shouldnt affect driveabillity any at all or it may even improve because I know you are running a 1920 and I couldnt get my car to run worth a crap with that carb on it. As long as you keep the carb size small and jet it properly I don't think you will have any problems.

    I forget bob if your car has the same style throttle linkage as mine but if it does you may be able to run your carb "sideways" and not have to change the kickdown I have seen other people do that on darts like mine. You might as well put the headers on it when you do the swap if you still have...

    Running Issue

    When you say cut off does it just die or does it sputter and then die? My dart had rust in the tank and would run good for a few minutes and then clog the internal sock in the tank and die. I'm still battling this problem and am planning on putting a fuel cell in the truck later this summer.

    Double trouble

    x2 Fix the fuel pump first they are less than 20 bucks and take 10-15 minutes if that to change, then change the oil and make sure your idle is set to the correct rpm in gear. Betting your oil is diluted by gas causing the low pressure but a slightly low idle rpm might not help any.

    Don't even bother building the /6 go ahead and drop a stock BB in with the money you would spend on the six. Sell the six parts off for a little extra cash.

    yeah I said that wrong I meant 15-16 in town and i'm not sure on the HWY but based on fuel consumption im guessing 24-26 at the speeds I was running.

    I know in town my dads 81 D100 225 4 Speed gets 15-16mpg and on the road we have never checked it but I do remember we made a 100 mile trip with speeds between 10-60 mph up over a mountain trail and back down the actual road and burnt less than 1/4 tank.

    65 cuda not staying running

    Did that fix it? If not try a little dribble of gas or a shot a ether into the carb not much just a little as it starts to die if it perks back up check the fuel filter. My car often makes the symptoms of a bad ballist when its just the fuel filter clogged.

    V8 radiator for slant 6

    76' aspen radiator with out ac fits perfect you just have to drill two holes in the mounting brackets so you can use your four bolts and have to use a slightly longer lower rad hose I think it's either for a truck or for the same 76' aspen I don't remember.

    With mine adjusted to the proper specs and at operating temp they never made any noise that I could hear over the carb or exhaust on my stock slant six a super six and glasspack.
