Wish I could, but I'm in Yuma. The tranny for the duster is laying under it right now. I had to replace the front seal last weekend when I was home and didn't get it back in. I only got the fish out once before I came out here.

There's not an "A-body" club, other than the FABO members who get together occasionally. There's also the Mopar Club of San Diego. When I was a member, some of the others kind of looked down their noses at A-body guys, but I hear they're not so bad now.

IMM Engines in Indio (I know, it's a bit of a drive, but worth it). There's also a guy in Dana Point (also a bit of a drive) who is on this forum as marks340 who seems to put out some good stuff. I'm sure there's got to be someplace down around El Cajon, as well.

We have a pretty good mix down here; business men, stay at home dads, blue collar workers, military, etc but none of that seems to matter when we're out there with our toys.

I'm going, but don't know if I'll get away in time to meet up at Wades shop. Duster's not running right now, but should be a quick fix as soon as I get to it, so hopefully I can get to it before friday.

No, doesn't need to be a show car. My Duster has rust holes in it and the paint is totally oxidized. Only thing purdy about it is under the hood.

There was at least one other guy who trailered his last year because he has low gears and was coming from Indio. It would have cost him more in gas to drive it than it did to tow it.

Thanks! It was cool that they relaxed the rules some for the antique drags so I didn't have to worry about watching my time. There were a lot of cool cars there. I can't believe that skinny slicked early Nova that was pulling mid 6's...that guy blew past me. He told me later he was running...

Had a good time. Got 12 runs in. Consistently ran 7.17-7.19 in the good lane, kept spinning in the other lane. 1.55-1.6 60' times in the good lane. Tried race fuel towards the end and didn't get any faster, so tried a couple degrees timing and still stayed 7.17-7.19, but it was a lot warmer...

Tech and entry is $50. Seats are $20 for adults, $10 youth, and kids free. They jacked up their prices for this one, it's usually $30 for tech and driver and $10 for spectators.

The 40th Annual Antique Drags are going at Barona this Sunday. '75 and older can play. I plan on taking the Duster out, I'll just have to take it a little easy. www.baronadrags.com
