I stand corrected, and all this time I thought all A-body cars had 1/2" front bolts.... wish I came across one so I wouldn't have to drill out the holes ! TimS- your car looks great !!

Huh, that's interesting. Every A-body factory leaf spring I've touched has had 1/2" front bolts ! Weird stuff

Ummm, I'm pretty sure all A-body front spring bushing bolts were 1/2" .... at least that's all I've ever seen ! Even on my 70 340 swinger ...

They both have 5 leafs. The 002 has a heavier front segment

Another 002/003 guy here. 70 dart, dead even ride height with zero torsion bar tweaking. Ride quality is great, not harsh at all. Running the longer Mopar shocks to match, jegs has them.... drilled front hanger to 5/8" and used B-body bolts ...

Why not just sand blast and paint the factory ones ?

Mopar performance shocks with ss springs. Get them from your local dealer, no shipping and good prices

I have 002/003 on my dart, stance is good and ride is fine. I take trips up to several hundred miles at time with no complaints. Make sure you use the correct shocks, that probably most peoples problem is shocks. Just like 69_340_gts, my car is not sky high and does not sit lop sided ... And...

Mopar performance extended shocks, they are made to match those springs

I think your fine, drive it around and le everything settle. going to take more than 1 drive though ! Pretty soon you wont even remember the way it used to sit !!

You guys are funny, I'm laughing by myself at work thinking about that as a movie title! I'm not saying the new height is normal because the ss springs will raise the rear. Most likely around 2 inches over a normal ride height. Just put 15" wheels in the back, that's what I did to my dart.
