    another M-1 vs Airgap question

I agree. Put the 750 DP on mine and never looked back.

    Throttle Cable Needed

Richard Ehrenberg, a writer for Mopar Action, sells them on ebay and can supply about anything you need. Just type in mopar small block throttle cable on ebay and you should see some of his cables. Contact him if you don't find what you need and he can supply. I had to use a hard to find cable...

    Holley Street Avenger blues

The inverted flare inlet fittings to the float bowls had too be REALLY tight to stop the leakage; a fellow mechanic could't believe how tight they had to be to stop the leakage-tight enough that we feared breaking the bowl. I am disappointed in the carb because the instructions claim that you...

    Holley Street Avenger blues

I thought the Holley street avenger was supposed to be a bolt on & go carb, so I talked my friend into letting me put one on his Ford 390. Mistake. Leaks, unadjusted floats, etc have made me regret the choice. Anyone else have issues with the street avenger?

    fuel drainback

I had a jeep with a carter 1 barrel that used to do that and after careful examination I found a small crack in the bottom of the float bowl. Not that that's your problem, but also if your gas has a lot of alcahol in it it will evaporate much quicker with a warm engine.

    Gasoline Problems

We've had ethanol blend here for years as well. Only problem is on warmer days it vapor locks big time.

    throttle cables

set up my car for the 73-76 v-8 dart/valiant throttle cables. Can you still buy them new? I would like to carry a spare, went to the junkyard yesterday and got one from a 75 cordoba and it is different enough that I don't know if I can adapt it. Thanks in advance. Jeff

    Carter AFB 750 surge

My friend's 440 has a afb 750 carter on it. It is mildly cammed and has eddy heads and an eddy performer intake. Stock hp manifolds and dual exhaust. The car idles good with 17" of vacuum at 5600' altitude here and runs good wide open. It just surges at part throttle, like when cruising or on...

    Mech fuel pumps

Thanks for the info, i was leaning that way but was unsure if the 1/4" pipe inlet was enough for my 360. The Carter it is!

    Mech fuel pumps

Which mech feul pump do you recommend for a 360 with a 750 holley dp and about 450 horse? There are several options and I want one that others have had good luck with.

    crosswind intake

Isn't the eagle stuff made over in China? The reason I ask is that even though everybody including myself uses thier rods and cranks, the workmanship is not as good as the USA made stuff. The first set of eagle SIR rods I bought were machined wrong and had rod bolts and nuts. they would not work...

tips for AN fittings an hose?

You have to make sure that the fitting is for the hose you are using. If you can use some soft jaws in a vise it helps. I also lube the nut and the inside of the fitting threads with oil before assembly. Hope I am not telling you what you already know. They can be a PITA sometimes.

    Quick Fuel carbs

Now that I know I need a 750 carb for my 360 I have been looking at the Quick Fuel 750 and the Proform 750. How do these compare with the Holley HP carbs? They are cheaper but I don't want to buy one and find out they of poor quality.

    650 or 750?

For my 360- building it with 12:1 KB pistons, eddy heads, cam around 240-245 at .050 on the intake and 1-5/8 primary, 2-1/2 collector headers with a rpm airgap manifold, should I use a 650 or 750 carb? Intimidator suggests a HP 950 holley, but would that be a little much for this combo? Big...

    DP carbs with automatics

I am thinking that I will try a mech sec. 650 on my 360. I have had the issues mentioned with the vac sec carbs, especially up here at 5800 feet.

    DP carbs with automatics

I was thinking that a mech. sec. carb would be simple to set up. Never had one, just thought since I would be doing a lot of quarter mile action with this motor it would work better. Haven't bought a carb yet.....

    DP carbs with automatics

In reading the Mopar small block book by Larry Shepard, he does not recommend mechanical secondary carbs with automatics. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I was going to run a mech sec. 650 holley on my 360 with a 3000-3500 converter, but I have no experience with this setup. I have used vac...
