That’s why I went with the full mvb couldn’t get it right and was just frustrating with the crappy soft shifts . In saying that now with full control even with very light throttle 1-2 shifts are crisp but not neck snapping unless you get onto it .

Doc I had the same issues when using that Lokar Bracket, it would always creep forward due to it holding only by the one stud and cause soft 1-2 shifts I ended up getting a billet one from Lokar which uses the 2 mounting studs but studs are replaced by cap screws. I still use the bracket even...

@CudaFactHackJob got the car out this morning warmed everything up real good than launched from a 5300rpm hit no flare 1-2 2-3 . Pretty stoked as it was only a little low on the fluid which was causing the 2-3 flare. Topped up 1/2 litre problem fixed . Thanks on the advise

Haha Melbourne is virtually shut down not a real lot happening. A lot of businesses are closed curfew after 8pm . 5 more weeks of this ain’t good for anyone.

@oldkimmer the valve body I’m using is the Xtreme Action 17876XA which doesn’t require the KD tired back at all. I haven’t had a chance to get it back out as we are in Stage 4 lock down due to Covid and you need to be careful to not get caught driving around unless going to the doctors etc...

Thanks Cuda checked fluid this morning as weather here has been pretty ordinary all week got a break this morning and took the car for a run checked fluid after some run time to get it all up to temp it was on the low side needed to add 1/2 litre , shifts feel crisp 3-3500rpm. Will test again...

Will check tonight, funny when I had it done and got it home checked the trans level and it took 1 pint to top it up, since then I have put on around 3000ks but will check it again . This just happened on Sunday so I hope there’s no damage been done.

When your happy with it shifting At your rpm points trim that cable and leave around an inch and if you have some small heat shrink Put it over the end of your kd cable to stop it from fraying .

Turbo action sell the forward manual valve body with low band applied ,800 series use it in mine 904 with std shifter console. I like it not teeth chattering but nice firm direct shifts.CHEETAH XtremeAction VALVE BODIES

Watch out on those Lokars throttle brackets when I had my kick down connected which I could never get right ended going full manual valve body anyway. It would flex a lot when kd cable pulled and would loose up to 1/4 inch throttle. Plate would flex as there’s no ribbing to stiffen Material is...

Strange when I had mine built even with Dyno sheets they asked for gearing , tyre size weight. But had it built down under.

Fred make sure you give them rear gear, tyre size , weight of vehicle, as much info you can . You will get a better matched converter / engine combo.

Get rid of that spring for starters ! now set your cable adjuster mid point than get some one to hold throttle flat by pushing on the peddle but before doing that lossen that kd cable grub screw , now what you what is to take up the slack . while your friend has the peddle to the floor pull on...

I had 3.55 in my 7.25 which i purchased from rock Auto originally 323s which were worn out.Diff place who did my ring & pinion did such a poor job i ended up scrapping it and had a ford 8 inch built with an 4 pinion LSD,28 spline 3.45 disc brake rear.Have never looked back.

check Rock Auto they might still have ring and pinion gear sets for the 7.25 peg leg !
