So far as I know that will work. There is a website that sells a kit to replace the original "in the computer" VR with a flat one used on 70/ later cars.

All magnums use either a 5.2/ 5.9 magnum pan or a 360 LA SB pan A 273/318/340 LA pan ONLY fits those engines. It does NOT fit a 360LA or a 5.2 or 5.9 magnum

Really easy. the 273/318/340 pans, the half moon cutouts are the same size, pretty much. The 360/5.2/5.9 have a smaller cutout in the rear
