    Wanted- 19.5 Alcoas' for Travco

I have an old step van that has the same wheels, I bought a pair of front ones probably 20 years ago and then had 5 steel ones made for the rear. I think the rears were only 125 each at the time... Have you called 6 Robblees to see if they may have some laying around?

    centerline front runners

New silicone will not stick properly to the old so, make sure your new bead is wider than the old. You need to get it as clean as possible... then clean it again. Same issue when re-sealing old glass fish tanks. At least the silicone is not holding the 2 pieces together like it does with glass...

my frustration! left? handed lug nuts

I'm not sure how far back the LH lugs went but my 50 DeSoto had them... (Lug bolts, not nuts though)

    verify small bolt pattern ?

if you drew a 4" diameter circle and held it up, the outside edge would hit the center of every stud. That is how it is properly measured. You can measure by skipping one stud but it is not an exact measurement... the 5 on 4" means 5 holes on a 4" circle....

    Rim alternates

you can have custom steel wheels made, (not overly spendy) or as stated earlier, there are some wider custom ones out there. I had a set of 14x7 aluminum slots I sold recently, they are out there but there are not a lot of them... Yes, they make adapters...

    Can’t find 245/60 14 tires. How does 225/70 14 look in comparison?

I believe Les Schwab also has them. That is what I was running on the rear of my Barracuda till I wore them out and went with 15" and BBP on the rear. 225s are going to be 20mm narrower than 245s. (almost an inch).

    Sell me your rims!

I have a pair of aluminum 5-slots that I had on the rear of my 69 Barracuda. They are 14s, I think maybe 8" wide. I ran 245 60R14s on them. This is only 2 though, you'd have to find a pair for the front. I am up in Seatac but my son comes down to Portland every-other weekend and could bring them...

    66 Valiant Seized Lugs?

a lot of older vehicles and some larger trucks used left hand threads on the Left side. I have a 69 Ford step-van that does, all my Mopars did, and my Willys wagon did originally as well.

    Cragar s/s torque specs

I torque all my custom wheels to 85 foot pounds. I believe that is what a tire store would tell you as well.

    tire size? up or down

remember, that is the "nominal" size... different manufacturers' tires may vary a bit. One thing you can do is go to Les Schwab or some other tire store and let them look at it and they will tell you what size tires you would need to replace what you have. They would probably also roll some out...

    tire size? up or down

1 inch = 26.5 mm so, 10.5 wide x26.5 = 278... go with 275x60 R15s. I can measure a set later this morning (on the back of my 69 barracuda right now). 60 means sidewall is 60% of treadwidth (275mm) or 165mm. so, 2 sidewalls is about 12.4 inches, 15" for the rim, you are about 27.4" tall. If you...

Wide tires + rain + daily driver = what traction

I have 245 60-14s on my 69 barracuda. 360/904/3.23 suregrip, fun in the rain. Whatever tires you get, have them siped, it helps quite a bit.

    Tire questions

I had the same issues with BFGs on a 57chev shorty (that was years ago though). I swapped them out for another brand and that thing stuck like glue. Having your tires siped helps with traction....
