I need help! 383 with A/C idler adapter measurements. 69-70-71

I need the dimension measurements. The height of the short side, the height of the tall side and the distance of the bolt hole centerlines. I hope someone has one lying around and can help with the specs so I can fabricate a steel one. I would buy one but the cast part is crap.

    Hot at highway speeds

Fan blades not turning (turned off) may be blocking airflow. Also check airflow going around radiator instead of thru it at highway speeds. I just fixed a Corvette with the same problem by sealing the top of the rad to the hood, fender to fender.

If it is a non A/C car, you never touch the dash, the heater box falls right out under. Very , very easy to do.

    How Deep To Tap??

Tap it and keep test fitting. You can adjust the height of the sensor by doing this. Just for looks, I like the sensors deep, with only a few threads showing.

    Heater heat

Rani, what part of northern Alaska do you live in? Down here in the states it very seldom gets down to -5 degrees which is T-shirt weather and we don't need a car heater we just turn the A/C down to low! LOL

    Broken water pump bolt removal

x2 Also, if the bolt is seized in the cover, use a cutoff wheel, cut thru the housing and bolt about 1 inch from the block face and remove cover. This will leave enough bolt to grab and extract from block. You will need a replacement cover and I completely cover the new bolt with teflon tape so...

Engine temperature fluctuates in Dodge Spirit

There was a factory bulletin that involved drilling a 1/8" hole in the thermostat so any air trapped in the head can self bleed.

Best way to clean calcium build up out of a radiator??

I use automatic dishwasher soap but it has to be liquid, not crystals. Pour 12 oz.'s in with clean tap water and drive it around town for as long as you can.

NE1 ever upgrading wiring using a relay to the blower motor?

Also, don't forget the pully size. On street driven daily drivers i have fixed this "at idle" problem by switching to the smallest pulley available. I look in junk yards for 80's custom vans, they have real small pully.
