    It has begun!

...and like the fart pipe or wing spoiler on tuners, there’ll be add-on ‘sound’ systems so they sound cool.

Properly sealing timing cover to oil pan.

There’s little to no clamping force between the cover and pan out on the corners. So the cover flange definitely needs to be straight and flat. You might get lucky getting the cover back on over the dowel pins and get a good seal between cover and oil pan with the old gasket. You might not...

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Don't know exactly and I had already done the MAD bypass years ago. A few months ago I changed to an MSD box, eliminated the ballast and wiring from the harness, and tied ignition 1 and 2 for 12v during cranking (for MSD). After doing that I experienced a pulsation in voltage regulation at...

    1952 Saratoga need help

I've got a 331 out of a '52 also that I'm playing with. It's all tore down ready for machine work and parts (the Fluid drive I pulled is an interesting boat anchor). Egge is rather expensive but there's Hot Heads Research (who I thought picked up the ball from PAW) Hot Heads Research & Racing...

    Cast Aluminum Valve Covers Leaking

I use a thick fiber-type gasket (black, non cork) glued to the BB cast cover with weatherstrip adhesive, iron heads. No leaks (yet).

California DMV ripped me out of my parts.

From FB feed - purported to be posted at DMV. Sooo... They'll protect folks who are here illegally but, by golly don't you dare sell parts illegally!

    Rock Auto....Never Again

It's a little hit and miss. Sometimes it's a good deal. Other times - like if parts are coming from multiple warehouses - it's not. Their service changed dramatically sometime in the last few years. You used to be able to call and talk to someone and resolve issues pretty easily. Not the case...

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Nothing particularly glamorous. After mini-tubbing, the rear seat back cushion no longer fit so we cut the seat frame and moved a couple of pieces around, busted out the hog rings, and it fits like a glove.

I need a good Black wrinkle paint

Another vote for powder coat. I've tried Krylon and VHT. Results were okay but it can be hard to get even results (wrinkle) across the entire piece. Being rattle can it's easier to damage later. When I re-finished by blower case in powder, it came out perfect and beautiful.
