The small stuff I usually get at autozone, I do alot of searching for deal on what I call hard parts...pistons..cams..rods...blocks..heads ....My mom always said I was thrifty... I have a large inventory of small block mopar parts..... We as in my two daughters and I are involved in drag racing...

A 70 Duster will NOT have X heads on it...J heads with 2.02 intake valves...probably has 360 cast on the head too

X heads have a big X casted on them......what are the casting numbers/

The 727 and 904 torque converter are NOT interchangeable... the BEST way to is to use the B&M flexplate for the rear of the engine and not screw around with weights on the converter...

driver side motor mount is different on 360 but 318 mount can be shimmed or modified for use... Most important issue is the externally balanced 360....you need the harmonic balancer off the 360...now you can use the 318 trans if you want..but need a B&M weighted flex plate... or you can use...

Good luck with recovery and fixing the race car... i raced up at Fallon for the summer back in 2011 and 2012....not the worlds greatest track but still a track...gotta support what ya got.

you should have the stamping in the floor as to where the buck seats would have been....need to look under the carpet.

4.56 gear and 26 inch tires...alot of rpm....

you dont want 318 heads which the 302 heads are on a 340....you will be choking the engine ... if you are rebuilding the 73 340...buy the 68-71 pistons to bring the compression up to the earlier years...actually you probably want to be around 9.5 to 1 with cast iron heads...
