I have a vacuum pump to evacuate the system... also have a set of gauges.... i think the R12 and R134 use different fitting...i know my pump and gauges will work on R134 system...

69 and older LA engines had the water pump inlet on the driver side...the 70 and newer has the water pump inlet on the passenger side... the water pump and timing chain cover and radiator all need to be from the same period...69 and older or 70 and newer for things to line up.... I am not sure...

For the upper....we used a radiator hose 71 dart with A/C http://summitracing.com/parts/gtr-60878/overview/year/1971/make/dodge/model/dart

I just needed to trim part of the hose off to get rid of the kink.

I had a problem with my 73 duster get hot like that...and went i was changing out the radiator, I found the lower hose was kinked where it made the turn to go up into the water pump... something to look at and check off the list

Sometimes...people say without a thermostat or some restriction in the cooling system the water will go thru the radiator too fast and will not cool down.. yes..the one car that has the electric water pump is a race only car... pretty easy...drive it without and see what happens...not that...

the bypass hose is to circulate water inside the engine until it is hot enough to open the thermostat ..... no bypass hose...nowhere to circulate ...unless you tap the intake in the rear or something like that.. Is this on a street car?

yes..you block off the bypass at the intake.... I screwed in a brass plug.

make sure the lower radiator hose is not kinked where it makes it turn upwards to the water pump....

offset the fan an inch or so from the water pump nose... or make the fan a pusher instead of a puller......

with a hose.... connect the fitting coming off the water pump to the fitting on the intake manifold ... or plug those fittings....

yes...but make sure the hose on the driver side does not cover up the timing marks on the 71 timing cover...

check the bottom radiator hose make sure it is not collapsing or is kinked...restricting flow..

have a bung welded onto the top tank on the radiator...

That is correct..all the 69 and older water pumps are cast iron...

I am not the seller...I bought the last two they had listed...lol another guy got them listed but for a "few dollars more"....

have 94 dodge ram with over 300k miles...had overheading problem...blew the lower hose...with new hoses it still ran hot.. bought new radiator off of ebay for around 100 bucks....no problems since

alternator brackets are different on non-ac small blocks..

you can find them at the hardware store...lowes...home depot.. brass or galvanised steel

they are a pipe thread...usually 3/4 inch pipe thread... can be bought at lowes...home depot or any part store

the original fan shroud will bolt directly onto the original radiator...
