Never worked on a slant 6....my daughter has a 63 Valiant with a 225 in it. The engine is suppose to be a 71 year model, and still has a one barrel carb....it still has the point distributor also. We are installing a new MP style electroinc ignition kit. New distributor..new ballast resistor...

Watched this morning...and then showed my Daughter who has a slant 6 in her 63 Valiant 270 Wagon..... Stock engine with 1 barrel....slow....slower...and slowest....

Is the distributor a stock mopar /6 unit?

Can you post what parts you are using as I want to upgrade the ignition on my daughter 63 valiant wagon....

Why dont you call Hughes Converters direct?.........or PTC...Ultimate...Dynamics...The guy at Summit knows nothing about converters and can only read what is at the bottom of the page.

I might be able to help you...going to look at a 75 duster with 225 in it...going to put a 360 in it....pm me later today to see If I get the car.

probably a 350...measure the throttle bores... 350 cfm is 1.5 inches...

get the timing set correctly...and check the accelerator pump in the car....as soon as you move the throttle it should squirt gas.

depends on how it was rated,,,,with or without assesories ....which rating changed some where in the early 70s.... power nation dyno probably can give you any number you want

bought a old motorhome that had been sitting for year....added gas to existing rotten gas... don't remember if i bent pushrods...but the varnish gummed up the valves and it would not run...had to pull the heads off and get them dont...plus drop the tank and clean it out..

he is using the internals....not the case...

torque converters themselves also need to be balanced and may have a weight on them on the outer perimeter of the converter.... weights for the engine are usually on the face of the converter that goes against the engine.

thanks guys.....after posting this I did some searching...and realized that mopar did put electronic distributor in /6....and either the guy needs to fit one in the wrecking yard or buy one from parts store...and the wiring harness and module would be the same as a V8...

yeah..going some searching...this is for a 1970 pickup truck...nothing fancy wants to get rid of points.
