You haven't heard of the linkages have the threaded part breaking off... There just butt welded... That's really the only thing I wouldn't buy from brewers

Ya passon was $4500... Right now I'm around $1100... And these are good parts not that cheap metal linkages they sell at brewers...

Well I recieved all the parts... They are rusty... So i will be sandblasting and painting them black.. will post pics when thats done. I returned the stock clutch kit and decided to buy the mcloed for $185... (an extra $50 bucks was worth it for a better clutch to handle more power)

great! pulled the inspection covers when I bought em and both look damn near new... no rust.. all gears good, no pitting, from what i can see brass looks good, shifts threw all gears etc etc

read my tread below. Im up to $1029... but this includes 2 trannys and 2 bells and 2 ball studs and also a new clutch... So id say $1000 is a good deal... not far off at least. (you will need new bolts for fylwheel and bell and pilot bearing etc etc.. prolly can get it done for $1500

UPDATE. So far I have been collecting parts and have everything except the small parts. Like pilot bearing, flywheel bolts, bell bolts and other little things i will probally need. Total Cost to Date $$ $1029. (this is with a spare trans and now two bellhousing and two ball studs) PS ...

Here is the two trannys I got from a member on here... They are both A833ODs one is cast iron the other aluminum. I also got A LA seris overdrive bell from him and it has the clutch fork boot and ball stud still on it. So it should bolt up with no modifactions! as long as the regular a833...

So I picked up 2 trannys. One cast iron a833od. And one small aluminum a833od. Also came With a overdrive bell. (now I have 2 bells one overdrive and one 4.354) Will look into what fork I will need... Total cost for both trannies and the bell $225 Thanks from a member on here.

The ratio shouldn't be a problem... For instance most fox body owners run 3.73 or 4.10 gears... A standard t5 is 3.35 first gear to a 1.98 2nd... If I put it in and it sucks... I'll just swap it... But it shouldn't be to much of a issue... As far as rpm... With a .73 overdrive... 4.10...

yup. I am running a 1967 barracuda as my daily driver.. its a 318 with a cam, headers, and intake... has a 904 with a manual valve body... has a 8 3/4 rear... with 4.10 gears.. the OD a833 is so i can get the rpms down where i can take it on longer trips to the mall (20 miles) and...

Thanks for adding some stuff I over looked... I will rebuild the trans.. The kits are cheap enough... The shifter comes with the handle... Not sure about the ball.. Gonna use a cheap mr gasket auto store boot and ring... Defently gonna buy new bushings for the z bar. And all new hardware...

Is there anyway I can make my 318 bell work on my a833od? My bell is a 318 bell. Has the 4.454 hole. The overdrive has the 5.150 bearing retainer. Is there a way I can use this bellhousing. I want to because I just bought it.... The bellhousing part number is 3515734
