    I think I've got it fixed. I borrowed an accel coil and swapped it out- no change. Then i used his ign box and it seems to run MUCH better. I think I need to fool with my timing a bit but I think the brand new orange box was crap!!!

    What do you mean by "Old Style"? I have the rect one that measures about 3" x 4" and I'm pretty sure its original to the car!

    I checked and re checked the wire routing and they're good. I mean to start the thing in park it fires up and idles great and its just ready to burn the tires off but in gear- a whole different story!

    I hate to do it but i guess I'm gonna have to start throwing some parts at this thing. I think i'll swap out the stock replacement Bosch plug wires with some better ones (any recommendations?) and a coil (MSD Blaster?). Hopefully something will change here in the next few days..?

    Well it appears as though its only doing it while under a load. Start her up in the garage and revs up good but back it out and put it in gear to take off and it misses/studders like hell. I really dont know what the hell to check next and really dont want to just start throwing parts at it....

    The insulator had a light brown color to them and they werent black. I did check the reluctor clearance on my new dist and it was at .012 instead of .008. Havent driven yet to see if it made a difference. Also, should I change out my original voltage regulator with the new electronic ignition?

    crank rods pistons???

    The compression height of the KB 107's is 1.675 while a stroker piston needed for a 4 inch stroke crank is around 1.465 (KB 745's). You'll have to pony up the extra dough if you want to build that stroker. I would think those 107's would stick WAYY out of the deck.

    How quick?

    Boy, thats a hard one to answer. I think they choked those 440's down quite a bit on compression in the mid 70's. SHould still have a butt load of torque though. I would guess high 13's at best...??
