1970 Dodge Dart w/(73 dart rotors/5x4.5") Front wheel and tire size combo "?"

I'm running 225/60-15's on the front of my 71 with 15x7 rims with 4.25" of BS and the fit is great- no rubbing. My car is lowered a bit too. I want to say that my tires are 26.6 inches in diameter.

    White Letter Tires?

Yup, Westleys Beach White- Good stuff

Open end lugs for steel wheels...

I'm running the "no bulge" on my cop car rallies.

3" studs play together with Dog Dish caps?

I had aluminum dog dishes over my 3" studs and no clearance issues. Just took them off because the color didnt seem to go with all the gold.

    18's mounted...

Very Nice- I love the matte paint with the gloss stripe too. Good choice

    Name these wheels.

If you measure inside the mounting lip they're actually 7 inch rims. I'm running those on my dart. You have the kind that will accept a center cap too-

    what size front tire

I run 225/60-15's on a 15x7 rim with 4.25 BS onthe front of my 71 dart (same whel well in the front?) and they fit great.

255/60/14 3,55BS, will they fit on my '72 swinger?

Like Skip said, theres now way I could fit that tire under my 71 with that BS. I've got 15 x 7's with 4.25" BS and I fit 245's. With another .25 I could squeeze in some 255's (someday).

    What do you think ?

MUCH better than the black on that car. Very wise choice!
  10. 7

How do you think these would look if black?

They dont look a whole lot different than the cop car rallies. I think they might look good in a semi flat black.

    wheel/tire size (71 dart swinger)

Here's my 71 with 15 x 7 cop car rallies on the front and rear. Backspacing is 4.25 inches on these rims. I've got the fronts at 225-60 and the rears are 245-60's. I'm fairly certain that if I had another 1/4 inch of BS I could fit 255's back there (someday).

Can you fit a 15*8 on the front of a 1971 Dart?

I have 15 x 7's on the front of mine with 4.25" of bs and thats as close as I can get to my Upper Ball Joint. I would "think" 8's would stick out a little too far past the fender.

    255/60/15 - stock 70-72 Dart

I have an 8.75 rear with the yukon axles that have a b body offset so my 15 x7 rims with 4.25 BS will only allow a 245-60-15. I am positive that with another 1/4 inch of BS I could fit a 255-60 in there (lots of measuring!). If you have a stock a body 8.75 it may work as it is. be sure that...

    the best rim

I think its hard to beat body colored steelies with dog dish caps but thats just me. I've never really been a fan of rallies on most cars.

Got a pic of the car to help us decide?

Will This Size Fit my 72 Dart Swinger

I think it depends on the rims. I have 245's too with a 15 x 7 rim with 4.25" BS. If I had another .25" of BS I'm sure I could fit a 255 under there. I may have to roll a fender lip though since my axle isnt perfectly centered. Too bad you dont have a buddy that will let you mount one to see...

    15 inch tire suggestion

You can run them on the back depending on backspacing of the rim. I have 15 x 7 cop car rallies with 4.25 inches of BS and they fit well. I run 225-60's on the front and I think that as big as I could go with the same rim.

    4.75" bolt pattern??

A lot of chevys used that pattern didnt they?
  19. 7

    Cop wheels.

I run those on the back of the 71 dart and have no issues. I would think you should have plenty of room with a Duster.

    Need suggestions for tire sizes.

I put SS springs and new poly bushings on the rear of the dart and I have about 3/8" between the sidewall and fender lip. I have yet to see or hear it rub at all. I did have to roll the lip on the pass. side cause the rear wasnt perfectly centered under the car but the clearance is the same as...

    small bolt patter to big?

I went to BBP with my 71 dart grabbing everything including and bolted to the upper and lower control arms from a 73 dart (didnt need the lowers but they were included). Disk brake cars used a larger upper ball joint so you'll need that. I think I paid around $325 for the whole set up and...

    Need suggestions for tire sizes.

I run a 225/60 on the same rim dimensions on the front of my 71 dart and I like it. The rear I'm not sure but that backspacing may be a problem for you unless you have a lot of room. Put the rear on some jackstands and throw one of those 15 x 8's on there and start measuring to be sure.

    slot mags fitment

Lay the rim flat on the ground with the bolt surface facing up. Lay a straight edge across the diameter of the rim (you may have to deflate the tire a little if it has one on it) and drop a tape measure down to the face that sits against the brake drum/rotor.

    Back Spacing ?

I've got to agree with Soul on this one. I run the same rim dimensions as he does and the same size tire on a 71 dart. I thought you Barrcuda guys had a little more room to work with there. I'm SURE if I had another 1/4" BS I could run a 255. I'm close to the lip but have a lot more room on...

    Wheel and Tire combo

I run 225/60-15's on 15x7 cop car rallies (4.25 BS) on the front of my 71. I lowered it a little with the t bars and have no rubbing issues. I have 245/60-15's on the back with the same rims. After a lot of measuring I figure I could run a 255/60-15 if my rim had another .25" of BS. Maybe...

    Front wheels 67' Valiant

I dont have a 67 Valiant but a 71 dart cant be too much different so I'll give you what I'm running. 15 x 7 police rallies with 225/60-15's with 4.25 inches of BS. I wouldnt think that 5 inches would hurt any but measure as much as you can before you order. Edit: I just checked out the...

    Thinking of theaes sizes.

Whats your backspacing on the rims? I dont think you'll have any problems though, I run 255/60-15's and 225/60-15's on my 71 with no clearance issues at all. 15 x 7 rims with 4.25" of BS.

    15" magnums on 72 swinger

I've got a 71, so not much different. I'm running cop car rims with the same dimensions. 225's on front and 245's on the rear with SS springs. Im running an 8 3/4 thought with BBP Yukon axles which have a different length from flange to mount plate. If I had 4.5 in. of BS on the rims, I...
