    For one more spin... Going through the same on my 71 Swinger. In the engine compartment I went with all new harnesses from the firewall. The main wire harness under the dash I pulled, un-wrapped it completely and found quite a few suprises in doing that. 70's style splices (twist-n-tape)...

    When you removed it, did you notice in this same area we are discussing (steering column) a small white plastic rectagular shaped bar wrapped in the bundle? What was that bar attached or clipped to?

    Just re-routed... did not see tabs above cluster, nor would harness been long enough. Routed above steering column, under cluster, forward of steering column brace (close to curvature of the metal dash). All seemed to flow nicely and into the tabs. Either way, better than where it was at (no...

    Hmmm (Top or under)...Once back out, I'll look for the bundle tabs...did not notice any up top, just along the bottom of the dash. Also not sure there's enough bundle there to go above but will certainly scope it out. Thanks all input is welcome!
