Hmmmm thanks for the info guys, im just running 5/16 line for my 340, engine builder told me after about 8 seconds at wot on the dyno she started to lean out a tad more than he would like to see but then again i dont race it or power shift it so the rpms are always changing even when i get on...

anyone have any experiences with either? Just curious, currently have a stock fuel pump. I know the edelbrock max psi is 6 and 110gph where as the carter street super ranges from 6-8 and will need a regulator and only has 10 more gph

I agree. I took the vent and ran it out up along the fuel tank and out the back of the car

Summit usually has pretty good stuff but i had one of their distributors tear up on me after a couple years. Carter fuel pump in my 340 for 4 years now with no issues just sayin. Depending on how long ago you bought it they should warranty it.

As far as i know the vac advance is mainly for cruising at lower rpm. Well i have a 4 speed so thats not an issue plus im not worried about better mpg. Didnt make a difference on the dyno, so its not hooked up

Only hose on my eddy carb with electric choke is a hose going to the pcv valve and hose going to the fuel port

The thunder series avs on my 340 has performed flawlessly over the last 5 years. Only thing youll ever have to do is adjust the idle every blue moon other than that fires up everytime and stays where you set it

Buy a edelbrock, put it on, adjust it how you like. Never touch it again. No issues with air cleaner fitment on the eddy carbs. Not sure about the street demons. I also have heard they are just as finicky as holley

Ok im confused. Whats your main fuel line size? By what you stated i would guess 5/16. Why do you want to go from 5/16 to 3/8 from the fuel pump to carb? Just run 5/16 from pump to carb. How long is the metal fuel line? Can you cut it and use a hose in between it and the carb? I have a edelbrock...

Isnt that the main purpose of the oil? I mean that pleat is pretty tight.

Is it dry, or gummy? Any small engine carbs ive cleaned looks the same after cleaning, from what ive read only way to get rid of it is soda or sand blasting

Id say as long as the sealing surfaces arent pitted and all ports are clean you should be good but thats just my observation

Lol my carter fuel pump runs 6psi-7psi and i believe the engine biulder said after 7 or 10 seconds at wide open throttle it dropped to around 3psi. Whos gonna be on wide open throttle that long, especially when you shift rpms wil drop the pick back up. Maybe get there in a 1/4 but deff not in...
