It did help, it runs cooler on the open road then it did before and can drop heat quicker, before it took a lot longer to disapate the heat.

I always thought it was too hot, the car gets very sluggish above over 200 and will hesitate and bog a little if punched. Wasn't sure if everyone else was able to keep their cars cooler.

It's been hot here 32deg celcius which is around 90. With a 180deg t-stat and swapping back to the old fan clutch which runs 1/2 or so from the rad the car runs 190 on the highway and around town up to 200 at a red light. I'll try a 160deg t-stat again and see before I get too bothered with...

Works for me, mostly what I needed to know was if it was a mopar performance only thing or someone like NAPA can get a hold of it. The NAPA boys here arn't too bright once you say 1971 but I'll try.
