It's assembled and useable is the sellers claim. It's clean and looks pretty from what the pictures show but no shifter or rods. He's off on price the best he will do is $700. Granted this is in Alberta and I don't see many 4 speeds for sale but shipping aside I can buy a reman from Brewers...

Just starting a new more specific topic, is anyone running the Passon gear set or have any experiance?

Saw a local guy selling a complete set-up for $1800... still thinking if I can swing it.

My biggest concern is I only have a preconceived notion what it would be like to drive a 4 speed car. I think untill I find someone who'll let me drive one even a slant 6 car I'll have to hold my tounge for awhile.

My one other worry is I've never driven an actual 4 speed car just things like 5 speed mustangs when I worked at the dealership

How do you find the gear ratio's of the overdrive 833, I heard some people say they wouldn't be great for a street driven muscle car.

There's a guy on e-bay who sells set-ups pedels etc etc he says an a-body would run $1200 which doesn;t sound horrible but then theres the clutch and flywheel yet.

I priced out the Keisler set up -ouch- I was jsut at a car show and admireing the 4 speed cars and thinking how fun it would be to bang gears with a 340 but not sure what it would cost to do so. My bank account is always in danger when I get bored.

Is it a realistic idea to entertain a swap from an auto to a 4speed in a runnign driving car with a good trans? Just curious money wise what wuld be envolved in all the parts and pieces having seen what a 4-speed from Passon and Brewer is worth.
