Can be had new on ebay for around $100 or so. I bought mine used on there. Rock Auto has them IIRC or did when i bought mine. I wired mine up to a cheap controller not sure how these guys are doing it. Looks like one of them has used the factory harness from the contour...

You know something I thought of was the factory vent tubing. The flimsey plastic stuff. Maybe figure out a way to insulate that to keep it from losing heat? Just and idea.

    Cooling Idea! Ford SVT fan

I searched the web for an affordable set up to cool my BB. Though some other forms I came across this set up. The radiator is a 26" 2 row 1" core from JEGS. The fan is out of a 2000 Ford Contour V6. I didn't fit with the fan shroud in stock form. I had to trim the outer lip which gained me about...

    heater delete

I see what you are talking about. Do you happen to know if the hole on the pass side is the same size as the driver? Not really concerned about looks or door being backwards. Just an effective way of closing off that but still be able to function.

    heater delete

Ive deleted heat in my scamp. The hole left open from removing the heater box. can i use a driver side fresh air box in its place? Or have have yall done this with race cars?

Donor cars to get electric fans off of? Any suggestions ?

I went this route as well. But it really depends on what size radiator you plan to use. That Contour fan is a pretty wide set up.

Does anyone think it is the radiator besides me?

well belts are cheap. But what kind of water pump? Stock replacement or some type of high volumn?

Does anyone think it is the radiator besides me?

Thats kinds of odd. You would think at the higher speed the more air going though the radiator. How about the belt? Maybe slipping at higher speed.

    electric fans

I guess I have to question building a car and trying to cool it with $25 ebay fans? Also I have heard people saying the 3 row Champion doesnt cool as good as the 2 row because the tubes are smaller. To the original poster look into a quality set up with a shroud. I certainly wouldnt want to be...

    Dart over heating???

I like the way this guy thinks and he is right. When it rolled off the factory line it was just fine. Unless you have put some performance parts or changed something dramatically. What was there from stock should be sufficiant to cool.

    Dart over heating???

What that ment was in relation to my first post about the hose collapsing. You made some upgrades to suspected areas (which can't hurt) and it didnt fix the problem. Which means the problem is most likely with something you haven't changed. I was mearly suggesting things that you havent tried...

    Dart over heating???

that and to say that you have thrown some parts at it and gotten a bigger radiator.. Means there is still an underlying problem.
  26. 72ScampTramp

    Dart over heating???

It may not be collapsing but under heavy loads while driving. I would trying it and see. auto parts store should have it.
  27. 72ScampTramp

    Dart over heating???

Something not mentioned. The bottom radiator hose does it have the spring in it? I see people on here with same problems and its because the lower hose is collapsing not allowing proper flow?
