Do you guys have any tips to improve the wet flow of 596 360 head? I 'am going to try and get it on are wet flow bench and was just wondering if any of you had done anything to these heads in the past?

do 915s have the head bolt bulge in them like the 596s. Also do 596s have the same potential as the 915s and any other small block heads. I haven't done any porting on my heads a shop in andover did them about 2 years ago just so everybody knows. and I just flowed the way they did and now...

There is a small block chevy one that i have that has a lot of general stuff that will give good guidance on mopar heads or any other head. It is called "How to build and modify small block chevrolet heads". I got 246cfm on a set of magnum heads with a 1.92 valve

.100 66cfm .200 121cfm .300 167cfm .400 210cfm .500 210cfm .600 216cfm my other 596 heads did 196cfm .500lft still have to do the exhaust tomorrow.

they did 216cfm at .600 and 210cfm at .500. It turned out was a better than stock all the way by about 15 cfm. I think there is alot of room for improvment. I think I good get it to around 250cfm with some work.

when I did mine for my head porting class I didn't and I didn't knick them that much I just reground them after I ported them.

yes you did.I tear droped it like you did to one of my 318 heads and it flowed 217cfm and it did 177cfm stock. This is with full port.

My 596 360 heads that I got the other day flowed 196cfm at.500lift and like 129 on the exhaust. This is all with factory seats and valves everything was just cleaned and than flowed.

I may go with the one you have duster340 not sure yet. I 'am hoping for around 500hp. and 500+ftlbs. Then I will add a 100shot on top of that. I want it to be a super sleeper. There is a 57chevy with a 550whp big block chevy that I want to beat around my neigborhood.

Picked up a set of 596 360 heads today. Bought them off ebay and went and picked them up. Payed $10.00 for the pair. I will clean them up and check for cracks on monday and then flow them to get some all stock numbers. Then It will be cut for 2.02 valves. What do you think I could get these...

What do you need to do when swaping from a 360 la to a 360 magnum. are the motor mounts the same like the schumacher mounts will they bolt up to a magnum block in a abody? Also what about the flexplate. would I need a different one? Thanks.

haven't checked that yet. But the venturi in the bowl is 88% of the valve diameter. They say if you go to much the air will just it the back of the valve. what do you think of the fully ported iron ram heads from hughes engines for $1700 plus springs that flow nearly 300cfm. Do these look any good to you guys. I know I need pushrods and rockers but is there anything else that I would need.

But he still is comparing a out of the box eddy head to w2 pocket ported race head. Sure 30hp is alot but he is switching from a $1300 head to a probably $2000 modified head with a $1000 rocker sytem on it.

But you say 3 tenths with a pocket ported w2 vs. a unported edelbrock. W2 flow more than edelbrocks out of the box and they have porting. So it is like comparing a ported head to a stock head. Or apples to oranges or a race head, to street head.
