Yea you want triple plating, but the trick to a good chrome job is the use of cyanide. Goverment have really cracked down on the use of in industrial uses. My old jeweler always had an egg for replating gold and silver.

Yup set screw. Take a different knobs set screw out and go to Lowes and use there size pitch gauge to find out the exact one.
