    70 Maverick came home

Senior year of HS ('73) one guy had a Comet Stabber that was a package car put together by a local Lincoln-Mercury dealer in '71 and '72, IIRC. Good looking car in black with silver stripes. His buddy had a Maverick Grabber in blue with silver stripes.

    70 Maverick came home

Cool find. I had a '71 2 dr. for a while after I was first married. Had about $600 in it, drove it for 2 yrs. and traded it even for a sweet '67 GTX, 440, 4 spd. that I dearly would love to have back. 2005 MotorMax Fresh Cherries 1970 FORD MAVERICK Red Diecast 1:64 2-Door Car | eBay

    Direct Connection posters

Wish I had saved mine. I had quite a few as well as 7 or 8 Snap-On clocks but the better half wouldn't let me hang them (in the boxes under the bed). Tossed the posters on a clean-out day and wound up selling the clocks back to my Snap-On dealer including one they had recalled because it was a...

    stuff on the bench

I wish I had a bench in a warm area. :p Working in the basement and it's a little cool down there. We're slowly finishing the basement so I try to keep my mess to a minimum.

    Shout-out to DartDad Too....

    '71 GTX stock decals?

Thanks for looking, Asa. DartDad Too is sending me some. All I really need is the hood call-outs (440- non A/G) and the decklid decal.

    '71 GTX stock decals?

No, sir, I didn't. Thought for sure someone would have built the F&F GTX or maybe another kit but didn't use them (some actually had 2 sets of the body GTX decals). I really only need the deck lid GTX and the 440 call-outs for the non-AG hood. I've found them for sale but I hate to pay $15 for...

Started out with the Jeep (Helen Hunt's truck). After it got sucked up by a tornado they switched to Bill Paxton's '95 Ram.

    Tips tricks and how toos

Didn't think about this when I saw your post about shaking up your paints. I think it was on youtube that I saw a guy recommend using a jigsaw as a paint shaker. He went to HD or maybe Lowes and got a small wood clamp that would slide into the blade mount. I got a cheap one at HF and have to...

    '71 GTX stock decals?

Long shot, I know. Building a '71 GTX from 2 partial kits I bought and need stock decals. Thinking maybe someone built a F & F GTX and didn't use the stock set. I know several companies make them but I could just buy a whole kit for about the same price. I need another kit like I need another...

    Mustang gasser

A quick Google search brings up several with one at $19 plus $8 shipping on Mercari.com (never heard of that place though) but with several known hobby shops having them also.

40% of Model kits at Hobby Lobby

The one local to me here in metro Atlanta was at 40% off last week. Don't know if they still are. I almost bought the '72 Chevy car hauler and another Dodge pick-up (to make a Dodge hauler :) ) but talked myself out of it. I have too many to build now as it is.

    New model on my hands

I have the same kit. Tubbed & narrowed the rear but wasn't happy with the stance so stuck it back in the box for now. :( That's going to be a good-looking car in B5.

    Deep space nine

You have way more patience than me. I don't think I could do such meticulous work. I get aggravated with a model car and have to just walk away for a few. One reason it takes me so long to finish a car.

    '71 Road Runner decals?

So the link Scotish provided is Keith Marks. He has the decals at $19.00 plus postage ($2 U.S. & $1.25 Canada). Think I'll pass on those and just build it as a GTX.

Non-Mopar but dear to my heart...

My biggest challenge was cutting the hood (trunk) open. Used a Dremel and you can probably tell the gap is a little wide. After I had it cut, I bought a hot-wire foam cutter for $1.50 at an estate sale. It works great for cutting plastic. As a matter of fact, I cut the hood open on the Valiant...

Non-Mopar but dear to my heart...

Replica of Corvair a good friend of mine had back in the day. Sadly, he was taken by cancer in '11. My son and I were talking cars the other day and I mentioned if I could find his Corvair, I would drive it even being a Chevy. He said I would make an exception for you on that one. :) Close as I...

    Mustang gasser

Went down and piddled on the Valiant a little bit and pulled the Mustang kit while I was there. I'll have to use the stock scoop as there is no way I could duplicate those body lines and close the hole. :( Oh well, it'll probably have dual exhaust also. :) Do you have a gasser front axle for...
