Ya I need to pull rotors just remembered I have 2 mustang rotors that need to go to machine shop and be matched to originals perfect time to change to 4.5 bp my 8 1/4 rear is 4.5

I'll be drivin the Dart after 3yrs of sittin in humid so tx should I clean the rust off the rotors or will the pads take care of it.

Fought mine for couple weeks till I found bad prop valve

My vac pump did the same thing put it up and borrowed the neighbors foot got them bled in no time

I blocked my prop valve and went straight from mc to adjustable rear seems to work fine

Ya I use a 3in long rachet keeps me from breakin bolts

Finally got the banjo's to seal the bolt hole was drilled too close to the tang so tang was hitting caliper arghhh junk parts really erck me fought those hoses for weeks until I ground the tangs completely off

My 72 Dart has intermediate cable

Found some stat o seals at speedway motors gonna try them alum and rubber made for banjo that won't seal 1.99 ea copper crush 5.99 ea

Only tighten till my wrist pops

Not a-body put new calipers and hoses on motor home banjo fittings won't seal at caliper are the copper washers a one time use? Surfaces look flat on both hose and caliper tried two washers no difference Chevy P 30 chassis Thanks for any help

Got one from harbor freight looks like it has many functions besides brakes

Not A body put new master and front calipers on motor home,chevy p 30, whats the best way to get fluid to calipers without gettin air in lines? Did bench bleed on master got all the air out of it. Thanks Bruce

Just bought two rotors from rock auto 75 for the pair shipped gonna do the swap on my 72 Dart already have lbp in rear with 8 1/4

Is this for a 8 1/4 rearend?

Mine did that I flat filed the rough edges down and it doesn't leak any more

Been 5 yrs since I took the Dart apart can't remember how the cables go back on. I know the rear to mid but does the front cable connect direct to mid and adjust on Pass side? From looking at the parts online it looks like the adjustment is on the pass. Thanks Bruce

Wanting to put an adjustable prop valve on the Dart, 72 disc/drum, what size are the brake lines? There are quite a few valves out there anyone have suggestions on which to use? Thanks Bruce

check the rear hose, I installed a new one and it was bad!!! looking for another right now, the replacement ones now have the dist block built onto the hose, guess that was a problem and many of the new ones are bad

got some fittings with hoses to go back into the reservoir, got the air out real fast, once brakes are done I can install the trans lines and get her off the jackstands and back on her feet gettin close to driving her can't wait it's been over 3 yrs

took the other m/c back and got another, bench bled it, all bubbles gone, fluid squirting out, fluid dripping out rear line connection when installing, blew thru all lines, they are clear, no fluid to back or front now, had front with other m/c, whats going on??? Is it pulling air back from the...

Yea I bled the m/c started at the rear but nothing I will try the gravity bleed it has been sitting for over 3 yrs Thanks for all the help guys

I have bigger brakes on the rear would this be the time to get an adjustable prop valve?

all lines were blown clean, rebuilt master, new rubber lines front and rear, new cylinders on rear, fronts bled out fine can't get fluid to rear, help needed please. Thanks Bruce

got a rebuilt from Orielly's $14.99 don't remember them being that cheap last time I looked.

Thanks for all the help, the kit ( $5 at rock auto) came assembled, I'll go over the photos from the manual to make sure mine is assembled correctly, the car is a 72 w/power disc brake.

I laid out the old pieces as they came out and compared, did not check the depth of the pushrod hole, have rebuilt many in the past without a problem.
