Thanks for all the replies. I just bit the bullet and ordered a copper brass reproduction radiator. It was definitely more than 500.00. But my car is nice and hopefully I won't have to worry about the radiator ever again.

Could be a nice radiator if they had their **** together.

I bought an ACC from ebay. It didn't fit. The cap hit the hood. And the right side bracket was 1/2 inch away from the radiator support. I put one of these in my 66 coronet with a 440 and it works great.

My dad had a radiator recored this summer. It took 2 months. I can't wait that long unfortunately. The shop around here that used to do it are gone.

Price to recore is probably 500 now. Prices went mental since 2020

I said I don't want to spend 500.00. If I have to I will. I'm not some dumb cheap ***. If you have a part number of a radiator you've used in your early a body that fits I'll gladly look into it. Maybe you have answered it multiple times. But I rarely come on this forum. I'm too busy building...

Anyone found a decent aluminum radiator that was a bolt in for an early a body V8. I have a 65 barracuda with a 273. I need a radiator that fits, 22 inch. Don't want to spend 500.00.

What about in a 62 a-body. I will be helping a guy install one in his 62 Lancer. Do the Schumacher mounts work in these as well. I think the firewall may need some work though? Also, leafs, torsion bars, disc brakes etc. Can these be fitted to the 62 a-body?

The most noticeable increase would be a four barrel and electronic ignition. The only issue is finding an intake if its a 64-65. If 66 or newer a performer intake, Edelbrock 500, or 600 will work well and be large enough for a bigger engine later on, you will need to modify or find correct...

I know how to google, I did and did not find a decent source. Most are listed for newer barracudas. Just thought someone here had found a good reproduction, thus saving me the headache of buying a crappy Chinese knock off. :thebirdm:

Thats a good start. I paid more than I could afford for mine. The body was just too clean to pass up. It was spend more than I wanted too now, or spend more fixing something in worse condition later. It needs carpet, a head liner, some seat repair etc and the paint is faded, but damn its RUST...

I have a 65 Barracuda, where can i get the boot that goes on the end of the steering column? Mine was all brittle and mostly gone from exhaust manifold heat. Also no parts place in town can find me a seal for the input shaft on my power steering gear box. thanks

I have flat tops in my 273 that was rebuilt before I got it. It measured out to be 7.7 to 1 with 65 cc heads. The pistons were .050 in the hole. It has closed chambered heads so even at 0 deck it would have 8.4 to 1. I plan on milling the heads to 60cc and decking the block and I'll have around...

They will not clear the steering column and steering box.

Change of plans. Just bought a 84 360 with 77,000 to pop in it for the summer. Giving it a valve job, probably thermoquad, little better cam and some gaskets. Should be a good runner.:-D Until I grow my money tree and build me a 500 horse 408:cheers:
