E Body Drum Brakes for a 68 Dart

Yeah you should be fine. AFAIK the brake backing plates on a 8.75 will bolt to any 8.75.

    F body 8 1/4 into an A-body

Dropped one in my car - had to move the spring seats, but that was it. I have about an inch of clearance between the tire and wheel well. Nothing rubs, and stock offset wheels work fine. It actually got my rear tires lined up pretty well with my front wheels. I had to have the shaft...

    Speedo driven Gear

Awesome, thanks guys! I might even try calling the guy I got the rear end from and see if he has the mated trans to pluck that part out of. If it isn't chewed up, I might be able to score one that way. Thanks all around!

    Speedo driven Gear

I'll have to give them a ring. Going to do a shift kit and replace the selector shaft seal, and replace the nasty warped stock pan for a MP deep. Install floor shifter and I can call the driveline finally done (for now).

    Speedo driven Gear

So finished my rear end swap. 3.23s in an 8.25 - Running BFGoodrich Radial T/A - P205/70R14 25 inch tire. Found in this thread: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=133767&highlight=speedometer I need a 34 tooth speedo drive gear to get the speedo back to close to right...

    904 seal and o-ring replacement

Yeah, that is the tool i was referring to, but the area to work in is a real PITA. I might grab one up cuz I am tired of messin' up my parking spot :)

    904 seal and o-ring replacement

If it is the input shaft lever then you may have to pop the seal out from the inside. I have the same leak (I think) on mine. i saw a tool a ways back that can be used to replace the seal, but there is not much room to work in there. As far as the o ring on the NS switch, probably just as...

    driveshaft?

Be sure to know what the rear end and trans was in the car it came out of. I swapped the 7.25 rear out of my 72, replaced with a 8.25 and had to get the shaft shortened. If yours has a 904/7.25 and so is the donor, you should be good. Replace the ujoints anyways. I pulled mine, and found...

    driveshaft?

I'd hit them with a grease gun. After you have them installed. Most will be prepacked with grease, but just like anything else with a fitting, I would hit it at least once. heh - I said I would hit it. Don't let my wife see this. :)

    7 1/4 to 8 1/4 rear end Swap

I picked up new shock plates and u bolts from summit for about $66 before shipping. And they are pretty too :) I didn't order the shock bolts, but used grade 10 bolts and some steel bushings from Ace, and they worked pretty good. AAF-ALL60036 and AAF-ALL60037 for the spring pads and AFC-20238...

having axles re-drilled for 4.5" in Phx

http://www.azdriveshaft.com/index.html Used to be Mesa DriveShaft. Pretty reputable and have used them for driveshafts in the past. Getting my driveshaft cut there this weekend. My buddy Tom had some axles redrilled there a few years ago for his Mustang.

    vibration

Take a look at the drive shaft and see if you can spot anywhere towards the ends that one of the weights may have fallen off. Have you removed the shaft lately? If so, you can try taking it back out and rotating it 180 degrees and puttong it back in. Recently, I had a pretty bad vibration and...

    904 shifting problems

Try checking the throttle downshift linkage. This was happening to me for a while until I got it adjusted right. Pretty easy to do depending on what kind of linkage you have (1 peice or three piece). Pop the clip off and pull the linkage all the way forward to remove all the slack. Spin...
