    69 Cuda Restoration

WOW! Absolutely outstanding work. This car will be as fun to drive as it is to look at.

Considering a '67 Dart GT Convertible as my first project. Am I insane?

Mine started out way worse, everybody thought I was crazy, but the fun you can have with these cars far exceeded anything I could have imagined. Go for it.

    68 barracuda hellcat

I built mine from a Competition Engineering kit from Summit. Works great.

    68 barracuda hellcat

This could end up being the most powerful, truly streetable drop top A body ever. 700 HP in a 3500 pound car could get you in the 10's without evening trying too hard and 20 MPG. What's the plan for the rear? Tubs, tire size? 11.5 or under in the 1/4 requires a roll bar and 5 point harness...

1969 Dart Pro touring daily driver **Crashed**

I noticed the power steering pump. A no cost upgrade is to lower the pressure for less assist. You get a lot more feed back in the wheel. Rich Ehrinburg from Mopar Action came up with it. It just takes a couple washers placed inside the pump. Easily accessible while the pump is still in the...

This thread is better than the shows on Velocity or Spike.

    Holey mackerel

I predict this one will be a keeper when you are done.

I've been a busy boy, Lotsa pics.

I vote this as the best build thread ever. As far as the car goes, how many magazines do you think it will it be in?

    '67 Barracuda finally has paint!

You have to take it to the big Mopar show at Vegas next summer. Then we can read about it in the magazines. Talk about a well planned out project.

    Vdarts Rag top

It may seem like a huge project now, but with the body work done assembly will progress quickly. Just post a thread any time you have a question. That car is a keeper, you will have more fun in it than any car you have ever owned.

    Restoring a car without documentation

If you send the VIN to Galen Govier he might have build information since it is a Formula S 383.

    Twin Turbo EFI '69 Dart

If 15 pounds of boost doubles your HP then you should be over 500. Do you need a roll bar to go under 11.5 seconds like we do over here? This looks like it will be a ten second car with a really high trap speed. Can a 10 bolt rear handle that much power with sticky tires? Wasn't the heavy...

    "Rookie-Touring" '69 Dart

Will the hemi be fuel injected or have a carb? The newer 5.7's have variable valve timing (coaxial cam) and are rated at 390 HP stock, mated to the six speed that will be one fun car.

    1969 Dart GT convertible

This project sounds very familiar. The car is looking good. When you try and set the timing and the mark is jumping all over it may be the vacuum advance being worn out in the distributor (even with the vacuum hose disconnected). The mechanism can become worn and will not return all the way...

    69 Dart 440 Convertible

George, Have frame connectors been considered? This car will be tons of fun to drive, it looks great already. It doesn't get any better than a drop top A body with big HP. How big of a wheel and tire can you fit in there...

    1967 Barracuda Notchback 440 Project

Which motor are you going with? Weight should be a consideration. Maybe aluminum heads, bell housing, and trans to lighten it up for handling. Moparaction.com has a link to the "green brick", a 69 Valiant that they took racing. They made it handle well without spending a lot of money.
