Just so I can confirm I am dumb, a transbrake is used only with an automatic transmission, correct? For 4 speed guys, you are looking at a 2 step rev limiter for launch rpm control (or your foot) but it is still a footbrake race for us 4 speed guys, correct?

Hoping the deposits on rim bead seat area still seal when mounted. This stuff seems to be way resistant to chemical removal. I am not ready to sand paper or wire wheel this off for fear of distorting the surface.

You are exactly right! I soaped the outside of both front tires. The worst offender had a leaky valve stem but also showed leakage through the sidewalls. The other front runner also showed leaky sidewalls. Here's the second tire. I soaped it, rinsed it over and over, and set it aside to dry...

To meet the rules, I used to run WaterWetter I think it was called in lieu of antifreeze. Helped with heat transfer and anti-corrosion. I wasn't worried about freezing temps.

OK, real men drive 4-speeds! : ) That would be me if I can ever get my car painted and back together. Planning to run W2 heads (OMG) with the Hemi 18 spline 4-speed transmission with Soft-Lok clutch on stroked R3 block. I ran this before but not with W2 heads. Crazy guys like me are still out there.

Your wheels look awesome! Monocoque 2 piece wheels? They look like the ones I bought for my '65 Cuda. A great company IMO, gone now I believe. They would make what you wanted. They actually made 4" bolt circle wheels for me. As I said earlier, beautiful car. Good luck and enjoy.
