Right now I’m leaning towards a Turbo Lamik TCU, initial cost outlay seems a little more than the other two I’ve researched but it has more of the features I'm looking for. It completely replaces the stock TCU in the trans and allows transbrake, bump, and even wiring in a "clutch" pedal to...

Yeah a little, it’s not uncharted territory though so I think I can get it done in a reasonable amount of time. When it came down to it, I really wasn’t happy with just three forward speeds as I want to be able to drive on the highway comfortably. I also want a transbrake. Everything I want is...

Fuel pump output has been figured out and the fuel lines have been ran. Just need to finish up a couple small items and I'll be able to start the motor. I also decided to change the transmission plan, I'll be putting in an 8HP70 that I just picked up.

4-bar / back half the HemiDenny / HDK way

Are my eyes deceiving me or is there a slight bend in that tube? I tacked in one side of my 2x3 frame connectors but I have 10' of 1-5/8 .120 that I was thinking of using instead.

I switched some wires around and re-set/centered the crank sensor. I'm getting crank and cam signal so now when I spin it over it's showing RPM! Next step is to mess with the PWM fuel pump setting. It'll blip on with key to run, but doesn't kick on like it should with key in start. I'll mess...

Good question! I set it to the loose side of holley spec at .080". It's possible it moved since then. I'll check that tomorrow as well. Holley specs .040-.080", I'll try .040".

I'm just happy I don't have to pull the oil pan or trans for the fifth time. The diagnostic LEDS on the ecu tells me the sensor is over a space in the wheel and it never triggers, this makes me think I have the signal wire pinned wrong. I'll probe the pins tomorrow and get to the bottom of it.

It's funny, I was sure I screwed up the cam trigger wiring but its working perfectly. The crank trigger on the other hand is giving me problems. I'm not getting any pulses, so I'll have to go over the wiring with a fine tooth comb. I had re-loomed that part of the harness and I must have...

I honestly don't know really. I just don't think 4k stall on a stock cam will work that great. I'll save that when I put my ported speedmasters and a cam in it.

I'm getting pretty good at pulling and installing the trans. Pulled the trans yesterday and took out the 4k stall converter. Today I put the 3200 stall converter in and bolted the trans back up. I spun the motor over on the starter before I left for work. Spins great but the starter gear is...

Fought with the trans for a few hours yesterday but I finally got it bolted up. So that's off the list. I'm going to pull the intake manifold off and find TDC Thursday. I never marked it on the balancer and I have to get the cam sync sensor installed properly; I think Holley asks for it to be...

Fought with the oil pan gasket for 3 hours today. It’ll probably leak but at this point idgaf. The paint on the pan didn’t stick at all either which is annoying. I need to make two new 10AN oil hoses and then I can put oil in it. Still need to do intake gaskets but I’m hoping that will go more...

Intake piping is done. New ECU arrived today. All I need to do is put the trans back in, oil pan gasket, intake gasket, add fluids, and fire it up.

That's actually a great idea, I honestly didn't even consider painting it. I'll be putting that on the list. Might even do the end tanks too.

I made some fuel rail hold downs and got one half of the intercooler piping done. Still waiting on a replacement ECU. The first one sent by Holley was apparently lost sometime at the end of September and now they are out of stock so we'll see when I finally get one.

Pulled the trans today to change out the valve body. Going in is a Turbo Action reverse manual valve body. Check out the oil baffle that was in this trans, pretty neat. The valve body that was in it is pretty slick too apparently, my friends uncle set this trans up years ago and my friend wants...

I’ve been working long hours so I haven’t been able to do much of the fab work that needs to get done. I have an update on the sensor issue though. Unfortunately after troubleshooting and de-looming the whole harness, it turns out the ECU is no good. I sent it back to Holley and they confirmed...

I hooked up some wiring things, just temporarily, to get power to the engine harness, ECU, ignition switch, and starter. Starter spins up and the ECU powers up properly. I don't have the torque converter in, so it doesn't kick the engine over. I still have to pull the trans to install the TC and...

I got the center section where I need it. We’ll see if it whines if I ever get this car on the road. I also got the coils mounted on the valve covers. I welded up the breather holes and welded on some alu D585 coil brackets. I’ll add -10AN bungs on the back of the covers for a puke tank. Also...
