Opinions on kobalt 80 gallon compressor

Check the motor power requirements. You want 230 V single phase to wire into a residence. Looks new and for that price it’s a bargain! Same as what I use and I have never run out of air.

    Electrical panel question

Use an electrical knockout, probably a 2" and pull a new inlet hole where the location needs to be.

    Any electricians in the house?

Tesla has a package that does what you want to do. It's called the home something or other. I saw it at a tesla dealership in California.

Mine aren't show quality but I stick up the stickers that come with the parts I buy.

    Had to optimize my storage---------

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't Facebook or any other social media. I post here and am starting to post to the Comet site but I have found by reading through a few of their build threads I am learning what I need to know. I thought I was a fair hobby builder but seeing the good ones makes...

    Had to optimize my storage---------

    Had to optimize my storage---------

Rented a storage to store the parts off my new project. Had to come up with shelving----------------- So I savaged a bunch of tare pallets and scrap wood and built my econo-shelving to have room for the parts coming off the car.

    New Rotisserie----------

So I needed a new build project to fill my time in my pending full retirement so I bought a 1965 Comet Cyclone factory 4 speed car that needs much more work than the photos showed. To facilitate the ease and time of the build I ordered an AutoTwirler Pro rotisserie which will arrive today...

whats everyone using to carry tools around.

This is what I keep all my most used tools in the shop in. I built it from an idea and when working on my car I keep it close and usually have most things I need at my fingertips.

1 BAY GARAGE BODY/ PAINT SHOP

Check the panel in your house. If you have extra space add a 50/60A 2P breaker and run four wires out to the shop. You will have a sub-fed panel in the shop with 220 into the main. One wire for each phase and a green ground and a white neutral. We use a 6 circuit small panel for our...

1 BAY GARAGE BODY/ PAINT SHOP

You can do it with the room you have but not with 120V power. Since you have to do wiring anyway, put in some 220V power. Besides heat and compressor you will want some power for ventilation fans.

    Compressed Air Piping

No LOL, I am pretty particular about my auto work area is all. I built the house with the garage specifically to build cars. I just couldn't swing the lift:-) You know-the bride had her list too. Thanks for noticing though---------------------:-)

Looks like it's in a dedicated compressor room to me. A stellar install I do believe.

Harbor Freight 6000 Lb. Capacity Scissor Lift Review, Central Hydraulics, is it worth it?

I have one of those lifts 110V I bought from a friend who bought it from his friend. Don't know the brand but it was perfect for helping build my Barracuda. It is now being used to build an off road bronco and the guy I loaned it to loves it. It just makes everything easier. It does take some...

    Pressure Washer

I bought a Sears Honda powered 5 HP pressure washer 10 years ago. It has never failed me. I burned a hole in the pressure hose by letting it get up to the exhaust but ordered one from the interweb and was running again in 4 days. I change the oil about every 2 years.

    Scissor lift anyone?

I own the scissor lift. built my Baracuda with it. They are very good at what they do and make a lot of operations easier. Use with care and double check every operation. The limiting lift height was my car roof hitting the ceiling lights.

    Compressed Air Piping

I used 1/2" galvanized pipe with the compressor outside and flexed into the shop. Regulator and air traps with multiple taps and retractable hose reels at each end. I had to cut and thread the pipe but 1/2" is easy to do. Mounted it with electrical fittings and straps. It has worked flawlessly...

looking to buy my first welder

I agree that the 215 is too much of a compromise. Yesterday I ordered the Miller 211 with a spool gun and wire for both the gun and the big spool in the machine. New tank, hood and gloves and I am ready to rock. I am debating whether to buy the argon tank and a small spool of aluminum wire is...

looking to buy my first welder

I have been researching a new machine for my pre-war build. I have narrowed it down to the Millermatic 211 and the Miller 215 multi unit. The closest Lincoln appears to be the power mig 140C which is better priced but suspect on power. I thought I needed the 215 multi function unit for the tig...

I needed a steel topped rolling work table:

I made it the same height as my shop counter tops intentionally. That way I could nest it next to a counter if I wanted but it would be easy to make it taller. I made the lower shelf 18" below the top surface, I just picked a number.

Two of the casters have brakes. My available space is limited which drives the build size. The casters and most of of the wood was free so I don’t have a lot in it. Not done tooling yet, still need a frame table but needed this table to build the frame table. 40 Ford and all you know

I needed a steel topped rolling work table:

Below are a couple photos of my latest shop project. I needed a rolling steel topped work/welding table so I knocked this out in a couple days. Took four days to paint it though. Our business shop has a 10' shear so I had them shear a 10GA sheet for the top and sides and they tacked it up for...
