    New look for my Barracuda

I was surprised to see this resurface. I have made the decision to get the steelies that were suggested. I have to go to a large wrecking yard to find what I want and I have been working on the car all winter. So far I have rebuilt the front suspension, installed my rear sway bar, R & R &...

    New look for my Barracuda

Yes, I have the same issue with my spare and shur-grip. Take this for what its worth but my understanding is that we can run for a small amount of time with the mismatched tires on the back. I don't think five miles to a curb will tear up the shur-grip but that is my understanding. I am not...

    New look for my Barracuda

Matt: They will fit nicely and you will like them. I think I got my tires a little big on the rally's but when I do the steelies I will do 225 front and 255 rear. I chose the large rear tires to keep my RPM at 2400 at 70 MPH. Wont matter with the steelies, I'll just be posing with those:-)

    New look for my Barracuda

Yeah, I'm waiting to see the caps I bought, They looked really good in the photos but I may have to strip off the center color and do something else. Maybe Princess Valiant could use a set:-)

    New look for my Barracuda

Yeah I tried to figure it out but I knew I was going to change it to the steelies. Haven't heard any votes for the rally's. I just needed to know what steel wheels to look for that will fit the caps I bought. Now I have to see how much issue it is going to be having Valiant caps on a Barracuda:-)

Dude, thanks for the heads up. I was wondering how to get the right wheels the first time, thanks.

    New look for my Barracuda

I spent a fortune setting the current wheel configuration up. All 15" LBP none of which is native to the car. Next week I will receive my hubcaps, now I just need four usable 15" LBP steelies and tires for them:-) I do have enough paint left from my painting of the vehicle to paint four more...

    New look for my Barracuda

My Barracuda has late model rally wheels but I have seen photos of members cars with body color wheels and caps. The top photo is of my barracuda as it is now. The bottom photo is what it will look like if I change it. (I bought the Valiant caps from RPMgoo yesterday) Shout out to DDaddy for the...

    Whos running 275/60r15. Having issues

Just stating my personal belief, not trying to denigrate any other methods. Not that I get everything right, I don't but I don't believe wheel spacers on a mid-60's car of any type are the right way. JMHO-----------

I am not a fan of spacers of any type. I will not use them period, engineer around them if you can.

    Whos running 275/60r15. Having issues

I have an 8.25" A body axle in my Barracuda on stock rebuilt rear suspension, leaf springs bushings ect, and I have that tire/wheel combination on my car. It works fine, I laid it all out on the computer. I had my 15 X 8 rear wheels built with 4.25" backspace as I remember. I have about 2600...

    255/60/15 tire availability

    LBP Backspaing Question

    Depends on wheel, 4 1/2 or 4 1/4.

What's the widest wheel and offset that will fit on 68 cuda

275-60R-15 on 8" LBP wheels and 4.250" BS. That is mounted on a 73 A-body 8 1/4 rear end. No spacers and no clearance issues.

    Backspacing question

4 1/4" BS should work depending on your outer fender clearance.

67 Barracuda rear wheel and tire

If you have to keep cragers I have nothing. I had my 15" rallys custom made to fit my application.

67 Barracuda rear wheel and tire

    I run 275/60/15 on 8" rally's with 4 1/8" Backspace, 8 1/4 axle no offsets or spacers on my 67 notch

Post your wheel and tire combos.

Below is my finished combo. Stock suspension all around, 15" X 6" in front with 235-60-15, custom made backspace 15 X 8 in back with 275-60-15 in rear. Both are tight but both work well. The 275's will be a gift with my 3:73 ratio rear axle. Got my front end alignment today as well.

what size tire and wheel and offset

    I have a stock suspension 1967 Barracuda. I landed on 15 X 8 with 4 1/8" backspace for 255-60's on my 74 8 1/4 rear axle. I think I could go 275-60's but have to trial fit to see.

    Will these wheels work?

Don't know, I have bought everything for my car three times including wheels. I want 15" Mopar Rally's with centers and rings and that's what I have after three tries. My research for my car shows that 8" X 15" X LBP wheels with 4" BS will be optimal for me, that being said 4.25 might work. I...

    Will these wheels work?

The reason I choose 4" BS is because after drawing everything to scale on my CAD program, it was the best overall fit. No spacers for me. The CAD showed 4.25" would work but it was pretty tight. Just being cautious. May try 275's just for grins.

    Will these wheels work?

Just going through this on my Barracuda. I need 4" backspace on my LBP 8 1/4 with 8" wheels to do 255-60-15. Having a set built by the mopar dude.

    Tire options limited------------

I have a 205-65-15 roller on the front now and I know the 215 will fit fine. I talked to the wheel builder and he will build me an 8" wheel with as close to a 4" backspace as he can get. less than 4.25 gets tough because of the way the wheel breaks away from the center but since he is...

    Tire options limited------------

Today I found a good tire size calculator. I put all my existing dimensions into my CAD program to scale and tried a bunch of combinations and offsets with 8" wide wheels. I landed on 255-60-15 as the ideal tire with either a 4" or 4 1/4" backspace wheel. I also found a custom wheel builder who...
