    Welding in 4speed hump

Here's what I did on mine. I drilled 1/4" holes all around the perimeter of the hump. Then I welded through the hole like a rosette. You can see a couple of the welds up on top. Then I ground the welds down and used brush on seam sealer on both sides. The giant hole is for a V-Gate shifter...

    Lakewood Bellhousing Headaches HELP!

I had issues with my Z-Bar lining up also. I wound up making an adaptor to get it to be in the correct location. Here's a shot of it. I heard once that the Big Block Lakewood bells only worked properly on B bodies. I cant say if this is true or not. Ted

fitting small block a body 833 into big block bell housing

The big block Z bar is not the same as a small block one. Plus the ball stud bracket is big block specific also. The original bellhousings for '67 '68 '69 big block darts had a special mounting location for the ball stud bracket. If you look here in the 4 speed frum you'll see a post where I...

Here's a few shots of what I'm putting together. The floors on both sides are new and the tunell is from a doner. The hump is original from the car. As you can see I'm using a V-Gate. If that thing fits in there then any other shifter will fit as well. If you need more let me know. Ted

    Adapting a /6 Z bar to a big block

Well it's been a while since I started this but I'm just about finished with my Z bar. I used Rods measurements and just simplified it a bit. My intention is to put 2 mounting locations on the bottom for the push rod that goes to the fork. One will be in the stock location and another in the...
