    Ellusive Wagon Tailpipe Installed

Yes, if you can find a shop that still does it & has data. As it was I had to travel 40 miles to find one that was not a Midas or other with strict rules on installing "customer brought parts". Plus, I was glad to find the correct pipe given the car is 90% survivor. Gorky, I always wondered...

    Ellusive Wagon Tailpipe Installed

Not a huge deal, but I FINALLY found a true replica of the wagon tailpipe...different from sedan as it has right side exit just before bumper. The side exit was obviously to help avoid fumes being drawn up through the open window of the tailgate. I recall the position of the exhaust pipe from...

    66 Dart wheel question, carb/iginition

Not sure how much money you want to put into it, but I would probably try to find a 8 3/4 rear to swap. The 7.25 is not very durable and behind a 4 speed, even less. The 8 3/4 would provide besides the 4.5 bolt pattern, potential for sure grip and a host of gear selections too (3:23, 3:55...

Only one rear seat belt in wagon?

Sorry Jsyn, have all back together...should have taken a picture when I discovered it...dang it. I do recall the rear seat belts bracket has a 90 degree bend in it, unlike (flat) front belts. If I get the seat back out soon i'll take a picture of it

trailer hitch for a early dart

I had to read this thread as I still marvel that my father used to pull another car (Tow bar) and multiple U-Haul trailers with just the "clamp on chain -types" U-Haul had back in the day behind our '66 wagon. Now I look at mine, identical to his with just those puny bumper bolts holding the...

Only one rear seat belt in wagon?

Interestingly, discovered only one rear seat belt in my wagon (front has both). I'm pretty sure you could order just one rear belt back in '66 but found it curious for a wagon. The other bolt holes were still filled with factory goop. Perhaps original owner only had one child??? Or was...

    Station Wagon wind deflectors?

My wagon has factory exhaust deflectors like you just purchased. I also have rear valance exhaust exit (previous owner) but have not had problems with fumes...too much. My motor needs rebuilt so no amount of "deflection" will solve that. I tend to drive with rear window 3/4 down and rear...

So I had a day off so....

Had some time off this week...FINALLY and in between the usual list of chores and other stuff to get done decided to tackle replacing my speedometer in my '66 wagon. Neither the speedo or odometer worked. After getting the dash apart, I discovered no needle to the speedo and the plastic gear...

    1966 dart speedo removal?

Ok, I saw a thread earlier on this and cannot find it using "search" so sorry for redundant post. I have cluster almost removed. Cable disconnected, wiper, and light switch out, lighter out and screws on left side panel. However, right side is still "stuck"? What am I missing? Nothing else...

    Black plate 65 Dart!

I totally agree, would not sell the plates. You've got great history documented with the car an pretty amazing it is wearing it's original plates 46 years later!! All lost for a few bucks on Ebay... Great score and best of luck with it.

    A Body WAGONS-Ho! A body Wagon Thread

Ok, here's my '66 Dart Wagon Survivor. As I've posted elsewhere here, this car is identical to the one I grew up in and was found sitting in the desert in Texas. Has all original panels, glass, 95% of it's paint, engine & driveline. Hope to get some road time in it once the weather breaks.

Rocky65, Here is the thread on my wagon. Didn't want to keep posting here as this a 4 speed thread and don't want to hijack it. Appreciate your interest. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?p=1204916#post1204916

Any factory 4 speed wagons out there?

Going well. Radiator re-cored, front seat re-done, brakes fixed, tuned up, some mild bodywork to rear quarters and new gas tank. Will have it enough completed to spring on my family for Xmas as originally planned. I'll post some photos soon.

Any factory 4 speed wagons out there?

Rocky, Here is a better shot of the Apache A/C system. Frankly, to me, it does not look much different than what I've seen in Fords of the same period, but not sure of that. Interestingly, as I pulled the carpet you can see how the dealer put the condensation drain tube through the floor...

Any factory 4 speed wagons out there?

Rocky, Apache is the company name on the interior blower unit. I tried to google it, etc., but no luck so far. It is a dealer-installed set up, originally done by 1st owner. It appears the conversion included the 273 V8 radiator (which makes sense) but everything else (compressor/condensor...

Any factory 4 speed wagons out there?

Ok, I'll add my wagon and introduce myself. Just picked up this "survivor" '66 Dart 270 a few weeks ago. It apparently spent the last 20+ years in the Texas desert! Because of that and the fact it spent it's entire life in Texas, it is in remarkable shape rust wise. Just the usual rear...
