    Cleaning old aluminum slotted wheels

I have always used Mothers Chrome Polish with some steel wool. Made the aluminum slots look sort of machined finish but if you keep going can be brought to a high polish.

American racing wheels and willwood brakes

Unless you just gotta have the Willwood stuff, look at Dr Diff's disc brake swap options. Way better setups without limiting your wheel options. Well, limiting to a degree depending on what size kit you go with. Plus, some use parts you can pick up right at any auto parts store when you need...

    Post mini tub tire combos?

So, no mini-tub? What's your backspacing on the rear wheels?

    Home made 15 x 10 with 5 on 4 1/2 b.c. and dog dish hubcaps.

Man, that is some truly awesome work! You still doing this kind of work? I really wish someone made an aluminum version that would fit dog dish caps.

    15x8 w/3.75" backspace question

I'm not looking for the widest tire as I'm only wanting to make sure they fit. 205/60-15 up front and 225, 235, or 245/60-15's in the rear would work just fine for me. I just want to drive my car until I figure out which rims I really want to go with long term. I plan to 18's all around...

    15x8 w/3.75" backspace question

I would use any tire that would fit! I just want to drive it this summer and don't want to spend money on rims that aren't going to stay permanently. I have these rims, bought and paid for back in '97, and they aren't being used right now. Car does have SS springs holding a Strange S60 so it...

    15x8 w/3.75" backspace question

Sorry, forgot to include year. It's a '68. I don't plan on keeping these on long term was just hoping I could get my car on some wheels and maybe do a few cruises this summer. Edit: Offset is -19mm if that helps.

    15x8 w/3.75" backspace question

I have some American Racing Outlaw II rims, 15x7 and 15x8 w/3.76 and 3.75 backspacing respectively that aren't being used right now. Can I fit the 15x8's on the rear of my Barracuda without issue? Yes, car is BBP. I would just slap them on and check but they are stored over an hour away and...

Honest feedback on wheel/tire combo please

I'm 51 and think they look fine on there. I hate 5 spoke type wheels but that's just my personal taste. I say to each their own!

    Going to 18" rims questions

Thank you! That was the detailed info I was looking for.

    Going to 18" rims questions

My setup is already 4.5" bolt pattern.

    Going to 18" rims questions

I'm thinking a 245/40 up front and possibly a 245/50 rear to help fill the wheel well a bit more height wise. I think it should be doable if I can get the backspacing right.

    Going to 18" rims questions

Nice ride! The front looks like it fits good. The rear looks a little small tire wise or is just how the pic makes it look?

    Going to 18" rims questions

Ok, I think I see what you're getting at. I know the offset is pretty important on the front as to not screw up the scrub radius if I recall. Would the 10mm offset affect the handling and safety of the car too much? Sadly, I can't get the rims I like in that width. However, the info on the...

    Going to 18" rims questions

Wanting to upgrade my '68 Barracuda to 18's since good quality 15's are getting rarer by the day. It has a rebuilt stock front end, small ball joint spindles, SSBC 153 disc conversion, upgraded sway bar, with factory small block T-bars. Rear has a Strange S60 Dana rear with 11" drums, stock...

    18" wheels

Bummer. Wasn't looking to spend that much coin. Was hoping there was an affordable steel wheel option. Oh well!

    18" wheels

Really digging the 18's on our A-body cars. Since my '68 Barracuda really isn't a collectable one I have been thinking about making it just a great road going car. However, I'm still not a fan of some of the new style rims. I really like the old school look but I also like modern handling...

Looking for these wheels or something close in 15" for 65 Dart

I think they will. The Ford Crown Vic used the same 5x4.5" bolt pattern. The only issue is they are a high offset (+35mm) rim.

Looking for these wheels or something close in 15" for 65 Dart

They look like the Ford police car wheels only with a different center cap. The first rims I listed don't appear to have a corresponding center cap available so I don't know what would work for you there.

Looking for these wheels or something close in 15" for 65 Dart

Here you go: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/crr-83-5614/overview/ They're high offset but they look very similar to the rims you were looking for. Here's the Weld Racing Draglites in black: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/wld-90b-56346/overview/ I think they look pretty sweet...

    14" factory rim tire sizes?

Thanks gentlemen. I will go ahead with the 215/70-14's. For the record, this is for my recently acquired '70 Duster with stock steel wheels.

    14" factory rim tire sizes?

OK, I really tried looking for this info but all I kept finding is people going to 15, 16, 17, and even 18" rims! Please, someone tell me what size tires will fit my stock steel 14" rims? I need to get some new tires on my car ASAP before I start driving it. Currently has 205/70-14's. Factory...
