looks like a pieced together car to me , made up of 2 or more cars.
I've never seen a steering column with rust like that one has on it on the inside of the car , must have sat outside with no top on it.
I'd go with the new ones myself.
I had several rechromed years ago before they made repo's of them and to get the pitting out they had to polish most of the detail away or the pitting was still visible.
I ended up buying a pair for my 69 nos , but that was in 1987 when it was your only...
If you want to just look at it sitting in the garage buy the dual quad intake and put it on.
If you want a reliable car to drive stick with a single 4 barrel intake for that engine
I've had a lock smith pick the trunk lock to get it open, then remove it and make a key.
Whole deal was less than 15 minutes and I was on my way with the key
