    Tie Rod Hitting Oil Pan

    I assume you mean the center link that is supported by the idler arm and drag link on the steering box that the tie rods attach to. The V-8 center link is 1" lower on the '64-'66 a bodies and will give you the clearance you need. Be sure your engine rubber mounts are new and not collapsed .

    School me on drop spindles...

    So to mix things up a bit, Lower the A body with the T.B adjusters and add B body spindles. The B body spindle is taller then the A body spindle and will raise the upper control arm.

    I have 225/60Rx14 on my '66 with stock 14x5.5 wheels. I've had 235/60R14 in the past.
