That thing is Xtra Crispy (which would make me want to practice some resto techniques on it). I mean ... it can't get much worse. ;)

Not 100% sure but would recommend you take a little time to unpack your column and verify.

    Rebuilding my entire front end

As mentioned before, you may want to check all the components in your front end so you can order everything needed at once. FYI: PST uses a lot of Asian made components and will/can not tell you which ones are foreign or domestic. For those ok with that, they might work. Just called them and...

    Rebuilding my entire front end

I haven't done a front end rebuild in years but have done four (an A, B, C & E body). I was going to recommend PSC (Performance Suspension Components) in Phoenix. AZ but just looked them up and believed they closed. Very sad. This was my go to supplier because at the time, they were the only...

Which forum is it in? I'm receiving an error message when I try to access your profile page. In addition, I did a search under your name and only this thread appeared.

    Compatible parts

When you say "parts", that's a pretty broad term. The majority will fit. I'm assuming you don't mind the mixture of parts from each year. Is your 69 so bad that you want to go to the 68? If not, there's always replacement sheetmetal/frame pieces for your 69. Have any pics to share of both?

    Leaf spring ID please!

Bob, how many springs on your springs? Any chance of posting the #s from them?

    Leaf spring ID please!

Well ... I'm stumped. Can't locate info on that part/casting #. I am thinking though that the same spring was used to level the car and not so much set up for drag racing (unless one was reworked/arched). How did the car sit before they were removed?

have any of you guys ever ?

I wouldn't shave the springs. If you need just a little more room, use the offset shackle/hanger kit and get an additional .8"

Possibly but suggest focusing on the belts first (try pulling the belt off and checking it).

    transdapt good brand?

stroked, do they actually check for those? I wonder if they really start looking at a certain level/bracket.

    transdapt good brand?

I have never had a problem with TransDapt products over the years but I am just leary about wheel adapters in general. If I were to use them, it would depend on the material they were made out of and I would get them specifically for my application instead of universal. For the ones you are...

    25th Anniversary Sale

Quick questions: Whose rubber pieces do you use? Do you still use import rubber? If not, can you guarantee that all of the rubber pieces are domestically mnfrd/produced? I also think it is a good deal but would feel better knowing the answers to the above questions.

8.75 Rea End Disc Brake Conversion

Bel, you must be one of Summit's favorites. ;) The calipers in the rear brake kit I purchased (and received ;) from Summit were Ford calipers. The calipers I received with their front kit for my MII were GMs. Granted, I wouldn't mind keeping everything Mopar on the '35 but since there is a...

Try pricing springs through your MP dealer. Sometimes, they absorb most of the shipping cost if it comes in with a regular order. Sometimes, patience pays off.

When it comes to suspension pieces for our cars, American-made mnfrs like Moog & TRW are still the best available.

How much trouble will it be to rebuild the front end?!

Fred, although not in the Sac area (only 1 1/2 - 2 hours away), I have a few of the tools for the job (upper ball joint, torsion bar and several pickle forks). Let me know when you are ready to go through it and if you can't find the these locally.

    Tire Hit fender lip

Perhaps it is one of the issues mentioned above but also keep in mind that Ma Mopar never had a solid reputation for centering her rear axle assemblies in her vehicles. I have seen some that were an inch off to one side. Many people just go with what was recommended by others but the truth of...
