Just make sure the aftermarket gauge is rated for the same ohms as the original otherwise it won't read the fuel level right.

I would check the connections to the gauges themselves first. Hard telling if they are hooked up, corroded, shorted (although this would probably cause other issues), maybe a blown fuse somewhere (not for sure on wiring). If that all looks good, you could try the other end, fuel sending unit...

I'm understanding what you're saying, just not correctly typing it back I think. Each needs it's own separate tie into the fuse box. I was stating that I could just use my spare 12V spots from the fuse box to run the power to them.
