Depressing movies that you only watched once....

"Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry" "Vanishing Point" "Dukes of Hazzard" Any other movie that that destroys Mopars in their prime. I was tricked into watching "The Notebook', lol

    Paint help

Yeah, that would have happened if she were home, but all 3 boys played on different teams, so she was gone a lot of weekends. I spent mine restoring the Fury. As much as I spent on it (time and money), I think she spent more on soccer (and gave me access to the stove, lol).

    Paint help

I completely suck at painting, doesn't matter what type. However, I used rattle cans on my '72 Fury's 360 and it came out "ok". I used high temp silver on the stock exhaust manifolds after cleaning them really well. The can said install engine parts and bring up to operating temp for something...

Our member back in the hospital!!

So sad to hear this. I was hoping Keith had showed This thing he was the real boss. Please keep us updated and tell his wife and family we are with them.

    Prayers request for our member

I have sage to smudge this evening, but no tobacco offering. I do have a sweetgrass braided prayer rope from my reservation that I will use. Prayers for Keith and his family, in his battle.

    R.I.P. little buddy

Matt, My brother. When you called me today and told me about Sadie, you could tell I was having a hard time with the sad news. We've talked so much about our family and kids-the two-legged and the four legged. As others have said above, they don't live long enough and it hurts like hell when...

Original "Dodge Fever" newspaper ad 9-14-67 (68 Dodges)

Yep, feel the same, because at 6 or 7 years old, the only cars I could buy were usually Hot Wheels. Would be nice to order the car of you dreams, rather than try and make a 1:1 scale with a whole lot of missing parts and no instructions it pretty challenging.

Original "Dodge Fever" newspaper ad 9-14-67 (68 Dodges)

Thought I'd share this original newspaper advertising supplement to our local newspapers. It is dated 9-14-67 and shows the '68 Dodge line-up. I especially like the back page showing a SCATPACK contest, as well as all the Dodge dealers that were in this area (Norfolk/VA. Beach). Hope the...

    NASCAR Experience Ride

Go for it Mike. If it's on your bucket list, it's a fairly easy one to cross off and if you don't leave with a big smile on your face and a fond memory, something's wrong. As far as I know, 135 MPH is fastest I've driven on the interstate at 4 AM. You'd think I'd say it was one of my many old...

    NASCAR Experience Ride

Not too bad I guess since it's 1.5 miles and you can get up some decent speed. For me, the closest 3 tracks are short tracks, Richmond, Dover and Martinsville and they go by laps and not time. Like we said above, it'll go by fast and you'll enjoy yourself. As Gerald and I were saying above, it's...

    NASCAR Experience Ride

LV would be cool (well that might depend on time of the year, lol). I've only got to LV one time for a week, so much to see and do, would love to go back and driving some fast cars and going out to some of the shooting ranges to shoot all types of weapons would be a blast for me.

    NASCAR Experience Ride

Oh yeah, I didn't want to pull in and think I was slightly over pit road speed coming in because I wanted to keep hearing that car roar. I was driving one of Jimmy Johnson's cars and they said what races it had won, but I don't recall where now.

    NASCAR Experience Ride

Hmm, I don't remember anything about wave off's or keeping an inch of track between the cars. They seemed more worried about what they said was people's fear of not shifting into 4th gear and not keeping pace. So there was a flag they waved if you hadn't shifted into 4th and another flag if you...

    NASCAR Experience Ride

Yes, it's addicting to have that much power and you can use it to the best of your ability without worrying about a radar, lol. I see Rusty's and Richard's experiences on Groupon from time to time and think about doing it again. Just hadn't gotten around to it. The "no burnouts or you will be...

    NASCAR Experience Ride

I did, but was 12 years ago. 7-21-07 at Richmond International Raceway. Naturally since it's 3/4 mile, speeds weren't high like Atlanta. I did the 3 lap ride along with an instructor who gave me some tips before I did my 8 laps. I think it helped as I was trying my best to stay on the lead...

3,500 mile road trip and met a fabo member

3,500 mile road trip and met a fabo member

I'm slow at posting photos, because a few members know I'm not into technology very much, which is why I have a 4 year old flip phone. No camera (I can't have one at work), not internet, data-nada. So I use a Kodak digital camera (it's only about 6 or 7 years old), take the pics, take the car...

3,500 mile road trip and met a fabo member

That sounds good on the visit (you had me at BBQ, lol). Wish my daughter still lived in Laredo, so I could have visit you hacienda and hers in one trip. Would love to be able to get to a real junkyard again and any kind of racing is cool to watch live, with the exception of my surprise meeting...

3,500 mile road trip and met a fabo member

I thought they were argent, but really hadn't looked as I knew that black trunk panel and S emblem was going on mine, along with the grilles. I even toyed with the idea of painting mine TX9 (Tuxedo Black), black interior, those rims I showed you that are similar to Magnum 500 rims, since on...

Glad they came in and yeah they are nice. I've been thinking about doing that-adding the seat warmers to my stock seats. Since it's still early and I'm still collecting parts, I may re-examine the seat selection. We'll see.

Thanks Matt on the tail panel and you got to see a repop and NOS Formula S emblem and how they look. I think the NOS grilles are my favorite, followed by the tail panel/emblem and the quartz dash clock (which I think looks kind of bad @$$). Yep, I knew I was gonna have to prep the inside of the...

3,500 mile road trip and met a fabo member

If it wasn't for the fact that I want to try and keep the original look of the Barracuda (including the seats), I might have gone the pony saddles route, although I really wanted to put in Chrysler/Dodge mini van seats, including power and seat warmers (which helps with my back issues a little)...

Yeah, I can't wait to restore the dash and put that speaker set up in it. Then like you said, I have the kick panels with the 4X6's (WITH grille covers, lol) and I have my 6X9's in the sail panels. All Pioneer speakers, and yes, it does look like I'm building the car backwards, lol.

I will tomorrow, you know me and my latest technology flip phone. I mean it's only 4 years old and is cutting edge, even has a flashlight. I just haven't figured out how to take pics with the flashlight, but like I said, it's only been 4 years. I'll wait another 2 or 3 years before I read it as...

Matt, Thank you for the gracious write up, I do appreciate it. The honor was mine, of course. It's rare to meet my mentor here on FABO. I don't know if you meant to apply for the job, or what you were in for with all of my questions, but you got stuck with it, lol. I am constantly amazed in your...
