I have sympathy for those types. Their brains have dried up. It must be a hard life for them. Brittle brain syndrome. :D

    Pro touring wheels

Something wrong with the web site. I bought them there at $93 each (new). Tire rack is $159. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Eagle+F1+Supercar&partnum=84WR8F1SUPERCAR&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes I heard they are used in some racing series...

    Pro touring wheels

I put a lot of thought and time into tire choice and ultimately found these goodyear f1 supercar 285/40/18 for $93 each plus $60 shipping for 2. Nothing else came close in terms of price. Looks like it's gone up some. Lower price = freedom to :burnout::burnout...

    Measuring for Backspace Front Wheels

You can buy tools that bolt on and simulate a wheel and tire. Around $125 IIRC. Other than that it's what zhandfull said, use a wheel. Borrow if you can. Talk to the local tire shop to get a loaner.

That blacked out ride is begging for some 18s. It will be BAD.

    Chrome or billet 18's

I presume when you say billet you're talking polished. If its driven much, I'd go polished. Chrome gives you the flash, but does not survive as well. Polished can be brought back with... a polish.

That's a nice look for that car. A touch of old school. What wheels are they?

    Can anyone ID this wheel?

Hey guys, thanks a bunch. Those billets are up there but the 225s are a very good option. I posted about a set of Boyd's I found on EBAY that I like a lot in another thread, post #116. I think they look great on that Nova. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=201191&page=5...

    Can anyone ID this wheel?

Been going kinda crazy looking at rims for my 69 Dart. This one came up on a google image search for a different rim. The source page did not ID it. It's about what I'm after. There's tons to choose from of course, but getting it right on the front is critical. I want an 18 x 7 with 4.75 to...

Sorry, missed your reply somehow. Subscribed to too many threads I guess. Those are some cool mods. I like how you did it without having to go with a coil setup. Nice fab work. I imagine your diff tube is within about 4" of the frame rails? I'd think the sliders are good for handling with...

That's a great look. What are your suspension mods? From what I can determine, you're right at about the minimum necessary backspace on the front - 4 3/4" for a 7" rim, and about 5 1/4" for an 8". Does that seem right?

Thanks, that helps. Looks like you are right at about the outer limit for the front. Very nice.

Your Dart looks great with those wheels. Would you mind posting a pic from the front showing how far the front tire projects out into the fender? I'm trying to determine what backspace will allow me to tuck the tire inside the fender. Also, is your front suspension at stock height?

Great look with those wheels. I'd like to see it down about 2" on the back to match the front.

Sweet looking car. Lots of big wheel haters hate until they see something like that. I suspect your challenge in reproducing it will be to get the front end down.

    315/60 and 325/50 on 15in wheels for a Duster

Here's the two tires I used for mock up. One is a 275/45/20 on a rim that was borrowed, the other is a 325/50/15 that I purchased with intent to return since I won't likely use it. The 325 Nitto is a little narrower than some brands but I think you can see its a lot wider than any 275.

    315/60 and 325/50 on 15in wheels for a Duster

Here's pics showing what I figured was the lowest stance allowing about 3.5 inches between the axle tube and the frame. It was not low enough for my liking. The 2nd pic shows the somewhat crude measurement method using a different wheel & tire. The 3rd shows where I'd like it. You may want to...
