Looking good. I think the pass through is a nice feature. Did you shorten the rear seat? Good idea to incorporate the seat supports and frame connectors. The other thing I will incorporate is a driveshaft safety loop.

Are you planning to beef up the lower control arms? Stock they are kinda loosey goosey. Its a fairly simple DIY for someone who can weld.

I kept the holes as high as I could in the boxes with the idea, I can drill a set of lower holes if the car is too low. I can't recall how much higher than factory the holes are, and I don't know how much lower the car is than factory. Sounds lame but I didn't really care about where it started...

Shimming the diff can be a pain. Lots of fiddling. Looks like you're collecting some nice tools.

Your welding looks just fine. How do your tubes line up? Bent tubes from curb hits and roll overs etc are common and not detectable by eyeball.

Not sure why this happens sometimes, I had posted to your thread but was not subscribed. It would be fun to see pics of the bushings in use way over there on the east coast.

I did it with a pipe cutter. Worked OK but slow. Did the next one with a reciprocating saw. Worked every bit as well and much faster. The key is to scribe a nice line to follow and watch carefully while cutting. I used thin sheet metal wrapped around to achieve a straight line. Check with a...

    Slant 6 to 318 swap, 72 Duster, Using 75 D100

1970 should have the forged crank which is nice, adds some value if its useable. Should also have 8 3/4 diff. which also adds value. Is it an auto or 4 spd? Just curious.

Thanks. I bet your enthusiasm for these builds is helping get a lot of people involved. I've got a lot to do on my current project before even considering this, but if I do it I will go for something like door number 2. I've wondered if the turbo off a 6.5 GM diesel might work since I happen to...

I enjoy the /6 builds. A turboed slant may be my next project. I've got a 69 225/904 and a Duster shell sitting in the weeds.

Hmmm... good help is available here but sounds like you're asking for trouble. Getting to work is more important than upgrading your ignition. Plan it so you're not in trouble if you don't get it right in one day.
