With mixed emotions, I have sold my car. It's new owner is in New Zealand. I guess I'll have to see what's available at the MOPAR Spring Fling on the 21st. Thanks to everyone on FABO for your compliments on this car, it was both fun to build and to cruise around in. Happy motoring. Scott:burnout:

If you are speaking of the large round one with the 3 pins. I have one but it's thrashed and pitted. Let me know if you find it and what you need for it. Thanks

Here's the pistol grip, trunk mat and sway bar installs. Also got the interior dome lights to work with the door switches. Next up will be to replace the lens' in the tail lights and install some door rubber parts. Picked up an OD 4-speed and bell housing. Still need to upgrade the brakes, and...

Drum brakes be gone! I scored a set of disc brakes with the small bolt pattern. Time to upgrade to a dual circuit system.

Installed ADDCO sway bars, front and rear today. New KYB shocks at the rear. I need to change out the 9-inch brakes (for 10's) and freshen up the front end. I will be upgrading to V-8 torsion bars then as well. Oh, I was able to find a nifty "B" body pistol grip shifter that fits in pretty good...

195-70-14 on the front, 225-70-14 on the rear. All 4 wheels are 7-inch wide standard offset Americans. No rubs front or rear.

Arrg.... work on the car is slower than normal. I did get the back seat, package tray and rear side panels back in. I replaced the nylon oil pressure line with copper and removed the temporary gauge under the dash. I got all the external trim pieces back on. Picked up a pair of bullet mirrors, I...

a pair of re-chromed "Valiant" sail panel trim pieces off EBAY, off come the dull, pitted pair. As for the interior, I'm putting back all the stock stuff for now, it's all in serviceable condition. Thinking about trying a seat from the wife's PT Cruiser on for size, if it's a fit I'll probably...

Got the rear bumper installed, some of the trim and the fender Signet emblems. Waiting on new trim clips to get the lower pieces on. :clock:

    64'Valiant project.

4-speed hump, carpet and some trim installed. The lousy weather has stalled progress to some extent, laziness a bit more. lower stainless going on soon.
  15. ImperialCruiser

    64'Valiant project.

Installed the window fuzzies and door seal welting. Working on 4-speed tunnel and carpet installation. Put in a pair of 6X9 speakers and made a divider out of MDF to replace the thrashed cardboard piece behind the back seat. Coming along.

    Jims auto parts

Better Business Bureau: http://www.concord.bbb.org for New Hampshire. Not a surprse, but Jim's Auto Parts is not listed as an approved business by the BBB. Finally got my "cat whiskers" today (11-23) nearly 4 weeks after ordering, they look to be of good quality, I will probably install...

Still needs a return trip to the paint booth to color sand and buff, but I got it back for a week or so. I like it already, all the chrome should set it off nice.

Can't really see how bright the blue is while the car is inside. He got the silver on later in the day, more pics tomorrow.

I had to switch out the lower valance, but it bolted right in place. (seems like the '64 valance would have worked if you removed the turn signals) I had to drill an opening for the right side turn signal wiring, but it too connected easily to the factory wiring. I made up an "ell" bracket for...

Looks like the real paint goes on tomorrow, Blue over silver. I'm getting antsy. New door handles, hood insulation and carpet arrived today, window "cat whiskers" and door seals ordered. OO-Rah!

My painter claims the paint will be done by next weekend, I'm somewhat skeptical, we'll see. This guy works out of small garage up the road from me but turns out some good work and reasonable prices. I need to get to work buffing out the chrome work and ordering weatherstripping pieces.

of the blue "test" paint. Finished color will be a bit darker. 2nd pic shows the outline of the "scallop" idea to bring the blue from the front of the hood across the fender.

Here's some pics of the exhaust done by Scott's in Beaumont, Ca. It' flanged so the double piece can come out if I need to pull the trans. I like it, sounds good too.
  26. ImperialCruiser

My painter suggested I follow the body line to create a "scallop" with the blue paint and to keep the flow going across the front of the hood. This way it eliminates a straight line across the front of the fender, should look kind of custom. The blue will be a bit darker, with the lower sections...

Trying to get the hang of loading pics. I got this car off EBAY, the slant ran but had piston coming apart. I had the 225 engine rebuilt stock, then added Clifford shorty headers, the Offy 2-1 bbl intake and fabricated the air filter. I replaced the auto with a 4-speed and had the exhaust...
